The rise of OnlyFans

you have concerns w/ the law saying you can't do something until you're age "x", and then someone doing that something on the day they reach that age?

The fact you're choosing this hill to die on is beyond strange.

I have a problem with adults being supportive/advocating children with aspirations of (of their own, or pushed upon them) going into sex work once they're of age.

As for the law, it absolutely can be flawed, but since you want to argue it to the letter you might find that there absolutely are legal issues with what I've described.

that lame phrase means nothing, frankly. you're just displaying yourself to be a prude who's sulking about a law you don't agree w/. If this was a discussion about underage people i would be totally against it. it's not. you might as well bleat about people being encouraged/allowed to drink, frive, marry, whatever, on the day the law says they're legally allowed to do so. Just because you're unhappy about it doesn't mean everyone should adopt a fuzzy grey area period of time after that legally established date just to please you.
if a person want to get into sex work or modelling that's up to them, and if they wait until they're legally allowed to there is zero issue. unless of course you want to reinforce your last senstence w/ an actual example.

I think the rise of OF is the symptom rather than the issue.

The problem as I see it is the free corn sites. I think something needs to be done about them, either via government laws or encouraging cornstars and their copyright holders to start bombarding these sites with DMCA's.

Maybe a cornstar union?

Congratulations on completely ignoring the vast majority of what I've said, you come across as a deeply unwell individual.

Have a good day!

I personally think this is a deal-breaker for dating but apparently I'm an old-fashioned prude according to some I've spoken to. I've done some "research" - ahem - even looking at some of the what I'd consider "wholesome" content makers on YouTube - I'm surprised to see they have OF as well even if it's kept reasonably quiet.

Surely a deal beaker for any sane man?

It's like dating someone whos attracted to the attention of dating and feeling wanted.. so you let them go on dates with other men or something...

OF is like one step below dating an escort.

Most people 10 years ago wouldn't even send their own partner those types of photos ?

If you are with boring women.

Been receiving nudes off women for more than 10 years. Some partners, some not.

OF is like one step below dating an escort.
So showing yourself online is worse than let me check, getting taken to dinner for a 60+ year old that you are probably going to end up having sex with?
Seems logical.

I wouldn't have a problem with it. Dating a woman that guys across the world want would make me feel privileged. Knowing that all those guys failed where I succeeded. Much better than dating a woman that every guy thinks is ugly.

Deal-breaker? Nope.
If everything else was perfect what's the problem. They don't have to be in physical contact with anybody and can make money safely WFH.

No it's not. Not in the slightest

If I was an attractive lass I'd be straight on OF to bleed blokes dry of their cash, especially if I was in the US and wanted to fund a degree or pay medical bills.

I think the issue is that by having an endless supply of options on OF, you may choose the women, but is she going to choose you?

It has already been proven through research that dating apps are destroying the human connection between men and women, when everyone judges each other through a simple swipe left/right, without actually getting to know people. Made even worse by the fact most women on dating apps have far greater access to men out of their league, but men that would never actually commit to a relationship with them. So they end up with a warped sense of self worth and completely ignore the guys on their level, until god forbid they reach their 30s or 40s and basically run out of time for a family of their own.

Until you meet said person on a date, with no prior knowledge of her "career" choice, get on really well, when she discloses her job choice, your intrigue gets the better of you, so you google her and discover the sheer debauchery she has done for money. Instantly losing any interest.

I think this was meant for me?

Each to their own, I personally like debauchery.

So you're saying, to be very clear, it's ok for someone to approach a 16 or 17 year old and suggest they make porn, but only once they're old enough? And that's fine with you?

Remember when you were at school and you'd have one of those "What do you want to be/do when you grow up/leave school?" lessons, or speak with a career advisor?

I dread to think of the state of them with that worldview.

I'm not sure if he actually understands what grooming is.
