The rise of OnlyFans

See, I have absolutely zero sympathy for anyone who would be as colossally as stupid as that. 20 grand to give someone a hug... Even if he got the full shellacking for a quarter of that I'd still consider them an absolute moron.

If you're paying for anything then surely you realise it's nothing more than a business engagement/contract.

The state of some people
He probably has very severe mental health problems or is so ludicrously rich that to him £20K is like 20p to the ordinary person (although he probably still has issues with mental health even then).

Simps gonna simp, but I do see what he's getting at. What if some of these guys are on the spectrum or have some other mental issues that lead to poor decision making?
But how is the content creator supposed to know that? They're in the business of making money and extracting as much cash from whoever wants their services. Are we seriously expecting content creators to perform mental health checks on their customers?

I can't think of any other reason why some of these guys will kiss a woman's boots and empty their account at an ATM for them.

Then you get people offering to pay to drink bath water. I think it's less mental health issues and more that young men are forgetting how to communicate with women or they have lofty aspirations of what they feel like they deserve so they spend their time looking at eye candy. I don't know if you use Snapchat but they've, for some time now, show a lot of popular accounts. Occasionally you'll see a pretty attractive thirst-trap on there and they'll just show the messages they get from guys. To say it's anything short of pathetic would be an understatement.

Asking for pics of feet, calling them mummy, saying how they'd do anything for them etc and just get a response of 'aww cute'.

It just blows my mind.

That should lie with the platform not the creators IMO, or even the user's bank should be going WTF.

They pull me up whenever I try to get a couple of grand out in cash and make sure I'm not being scammed but I don't think there are any checks going on here.

I mean, it's their money but who knows, maybe a phone call from the bank might help them reconsider. Especially in the case of someone who isn't a millionaire just throwing their life savings away for example - that should get alarm bells ringing.

Its a really difficult subject and same with alcoholism etc.

At what point do you step on free choice (which I hate) vs protecting vulnerable people.

It'll never be perfect.

Look at cigarettes. We are on cusp of banning it for anyone not able to smoke now with the age range. It is against free will. But it's something many (including me) agree with m as its addictive and people can't stop themselves.

It'll always be a balance here

Personal responsibility is an important trait

You could raise pension age, but then people won't contribute to pensions. Very dangerous to move those goal posts.

I think maybe two different things are being conflated there - raising the pension age impacts the state pension which isn't based on contributions but is a defined benefit scheme based on qualifying years. Investments in a private pension are still there changing the state pension age doesn't change the fact you have £X in your private pension pot.

As I said, we'll have to agree to disagree because I really don't agree with your stance on it.

I really disagree with the whole vulnerable angle. Of course, there will be some truly vulnerable people but the vast majority are going to be simpy and thirsty guys thinking they can buy the workers affection.

At some point we all have to look at ourselves and decide if our actions are sensible and take some responsibility for our actions.

I dated a dominatrix for a short while, she made a fortune.

Hot AF too. Was in my youth though, and I wouldn't entertain that for settling down.

I know one who does it. Though not in the same way mentioned above.

She earns a LOT, but it comes with problems, e.g. not able to get a mortgage as it's not seen as a regular/legit employment. She has to have her partner put his name to everything.

Nobody wants to work a proper job anymore, they just want a quick easy buck. So you get influencers and only fans cam girls. Just a symptom of today's self obsessed, narcissistic and self entitled lazy society.
People also want a job they can enjoy, and being paid to have orgasms while staring at a camera does, on the surface, sound pretty enjoyable... Or would you rather juggle a load of spreadsheets so that some company exec can get paid millions as a result of you sorting out their problems for them?

Not that anyone would pay to watch me sticking a hairbrush where the sun doesn't shine :p
Only because you're only going half-assed. People pay to watch hideous people doing hideous things.
If you can imagine it, there will be people who'll pay for it.

I always told my ex that she was basically taking advantage of vulnerable men.
It's not as if men don't take advantage of vulnerable women, either.

Wifey also follows in instagram some woman called Rebecca Godwin (god knows why) who happens to have an OF that is quite successful too.
This one?

For me, these people need help not ridiculed. A big issue in our society is around "because I can do it, everyone can". I simply don't agree with this.
A more worrying aspect is the FOMO side of, "I have to, because all my friends do". My kids will eventually want mobile phones and access to TikTok, Farcebook, Instagram and all that other *****, and may potentially face serious social disadvantages if they don't get it.

To say it's anything short of pathetic would be an understatement.

A lot of men have always been this pathetic. I'd go so far as to they the majority of men are generally quite simp-ish when it comes to women. Even the more manly testosterone-laden ones catcalling are pretty ******* pathetic simps, who just haven't realised they're incels.

The extremes of submissive behaviour and the associated mistresses have been around for centuries too, with dominatrices written about as early as Ancient Greece. Rishyasringa, Phyllis and Aristotle, Inanna... loads of examples.
Dominatrices and their establishments were pretty well known by the 1500s, and the advent of photography and other technology just expanded their menu.

I definitely agree. I really do think I was lucky to have so many female friends, probably more so than male friends at one point. Helped me during my dating years to no end.

What people have as kinks doesn't really bother me. We've all got them. I just hate the way people put it on a pedestal.

Want to hear more @Junglist stories, NGL.
They're not that wild, to be honest.

Dated someone who sold breast milk and was on a sort of sugar daddy website for a while. One kind gentleman helped pay for our hotel in Amsterdam, thanks buddy!
Chronic tinder swiper for a while and was a sowing my oats
Messed around a swingers site for a number of years - with the stories to tell

Though I am now tame and happily settled down with my partner of almost 7 years. We've all got to grow up eventually I suppose :(

story was titillating.

squares are filled

ooh-matron-kenneth-williams-carry-on-camping.gif

If i go on the search button on instagram 90% of the squares are filled attractive scantily clad ladies, i bet most of them have OF.

I think I'd have to blur out half the squares if posted a screenshot of mine :( it isn't even relevant to my activity/interests or friends, etc. on there either.

I'll have to google it as I've no idea what it is lol

There's been a couple of things with her, one was she was selling cookies and calling people out for 'being broke' for not buying them.

There was a comment in her twitter feed a while back where some window licker was firing money at her and said something like he was making excuses to his gf\wife about why they couldn't go on holiday, because he was throwing money at 'pokimane'. I think there's a screenshot of that in the other thread about onlyfans from a few years back.

Personally I'd find it hilarious if the site went down the crapper just to see them scrambling to try and keep their Simps on the hook. Though there are other sites like OF so might not trouble them too much overall if it did collapse, or they made another ruling about not having porn content which was close to occurring a few years ago.

Yes but there are safety nets and laws that protect them plus the social outcry and a torrent of support that any woman with a sob story can create.

Men need similar kind of protections from predatory women. You may see those men as pathetic but I see them as vulnerable human beings being exploited.

I bet if you told me your life's story I could easily point out plenty of occasions that you were "pathetic" so don't judge people so easily.
