Very much looking forward to this

Not confirmed but looking like RT reflections and lighting/GI:

I only ever played the originals once. If I ever do run out of things to play might give them another go before this is out. Hopefully it is as good.

I have an inkling Rockstar in a year or so will try and come out with a "Definitive PC Edition" instead of just rolling out an update.
I bet they will and that will be an extra £19.99, or if you already own a copy it will be a generous £14.99 . And the only catch is as it's new copy of the game you will have to start from scratch as we don't do cross saves.

Not RT related but this needs posting!

PSA: DLSS DLL version 2.5.1 completely disables DLSS sharpen in existing games

My biggest complaint with dlss ever since nvidia provided the sharpening feature, essentially sharpening may make static images look better but in motion it increases/adds artefacts and can make shimmering more obvious so this is great for games where it was forced or the sharpening slider didn't make any difference i.e. you either have sharpening or you end of having negative sharpening i.e. blurry mess.

Back to RT, looks like that RT optimisation mod works very well:

Also, stolen from reddit, CP wallpaper for 3440x1440 owners :D

I'm sure I recall a Minecraft RT thingy. Can't recall if it was the whole game or just a mod/demo or something.

Yes 1 game.

The rest are half assed or don't need it.

Horizon Zero Dawn still craps all over Cyberpunk 2077 in every way, people give it a technical win as their brain equates large spaces as a need to give a game a rating of better, woo big city!
In every image and video HZD looks half a generation ahead of CBP2077.

Art style is very important and we still don't need RT for a great image.

Resident Evil games though did need RT, but the question is still there on why the basic reflections were handled so badly.

And there is a problem, everything is seeminly reflective like the world is made of glass or plastic, looks like those ENB shaders in GTA.

No image uniformity and the art syle does not carry as it was dropped for a technical win using reflections which is what folks here are mostly obsessed with.

hzd trailer in 4k good quality vs 1080p crappy quality. legit!

That image would not improve in 4K, it just shows off how bad it looks even more.

I am not a fan of the game so there is no point trying.

Besides me and Nexus settled the dispute.

Hold up, you think HZD looks crappy? It was one if the best looking games I played this year on PC and it does not even have RT! :p

What I found transformed the game is HDR, so could be you are not seeing what I am seeing.

Talk about HDR. I would rather have a 3080 Ti and a QD-OLED monitor with proper HDR than a IPS panel with no HDR or fake HDR and a 4090. You essentially get access to much higher image quality with a QD-OLED monitor :D

No the opposite.

Good watch this.
This is more like it IMO, it is what I personally wanted after seeing what Quake II RTX was doing, I thought we could have RT in old games to truly bring them up to date.

I love the fact it is working so well on even a 3050.
