Yup it's an unbelievably good game, had so much more potential too, shame they didn't just stick to it rather than moving on to div 2.

The graphical downgrade was a very silly move on Ubisofts part though, I remember them saying "we don't want console players to feel left out by PC having better graphics" such a stupid thing to do.

Had good fun on both, only played solo though really and stopped shortly after doing the stories. Actually gonna install D2 now I got a PC that can max it out.

Any good suggestions of must play RT games? Got my first RT card and would be good to give it a bash.

What gpu?

Cyberpunk 2077
Dying light 2
Chernobylite
The ascent
Riftbreaker
Portal rtx and Minecraft rtx
Metro ee
Witcher 3 next gen
Control
Watch dogs legion
Spiderman remastered and miles morale
Doom eternal
Ghostwrite toyko
F1 22
Warhammer darktide

Should be a decent variety there to cover most genres.

Atomic heart next month, which is looking very RT intensive.

I went for the hated 4070Ti, I know it seems crazy but I justified it by haveing £900 to upgrade and managed to snag one at MSRP-799. I didn't want second hand risks and don't have access to the MM so FB/Ebay were my options. I was about to buy a 3080 for 699 but that just seemed daft and the 7900XT would have required an immediate PSU upgrade and they were pretty hard to find under 900 anyway. I game at 1440P/144Hz and was upgrading from a 1080Ti which I sold for 200 so all in I'm happy (I feel like I have to justify my choice at all opportunity haha but it was for me the most reasonable option).

I have CP 2077 so I'll fire that up again.
I liked DL1 so might grab 2.
I think I have control too.
I'll check out some of the others too.

Thank you all,

They should make a new game like alien isolation, but the whole game should take place in a house of mirrors with RT reflections - so you can see your reflection while seeing the alien behind you while watching your reflection watching you **** yourself
Sounds like what Stay in the Light attempted but failed at. You walk around with a mirror with a monster stalking you. The entire game is based off RT reflections though it just wasn't that good a game.

You forgot Far Cry 6

Decent article here about ray tracing performance and value:

Based on the current price-performance index, we recommend at least an Nvidia Geforce RTX 3060 12GB or Intel Arc A770 16GB. Both have a very good price-performance ratio (PLV) and are available for less than 400 euros. Thanks to their storage capacities and upscaling skills, both have what it takes to give pleasure for a long time to come. The respective 8 GiByte variants also deliver good results, but the surcharge for memory carelessness is very limited, so we advise against the smaller variants. Anyone who can invest up to 450 euros will also do very well with a Radeon RX 6700 XT: Although it is subject to the graphics cards mentioned in ray tracing, it achieves a significantly better rasterizing performance and is therefore an ideal all-rounder for Full HD and WQHD.

On the other hand, if you want to play in UWQHD or Ultra HD as uncompromisingly as possible, a Geforce RTX 4070 Ti is the right choice. In fact, Nvidia's latest graphics card is significantly more expensive than earlier 70s models, but achieves an attractive price-performance ratio in the current environment. It doesn't matter whether it 's a Radeon RX 7900 XTX, RX 7900 XT , Geforce RTX 4080 or RTX 4090, they all deliver significantly less fps per euro. At least Nvidia's top models still make sense if you want the highest performance in the computer. Some alternatives for WQHD and Ultrawide-QHD are waiting between the PLV winners and the performance peak, for example Nvidia's Geforce RTX 3080. This is slowly approaching its recommended retail price, but with 10 GiByte it is not uncompromisingly equipped. Instead, we recommend the RTX 3080 12GB or directly the RTX 3080 Ti, both of which can almost compete with a Radeon RX 7900 XT when it comes to ray tracing.

I'm currently still in the same boat I think with this. I have to really train myself to look out for ray tracing and I'm not sure I'd miss it if it wasn't there. However, I think it's still cool to have a card that can use it, but I wouldn't ever make a purchase based on a ray tracing performance I don't think. However, I am old enough to know opinions can change so I'm just basing it on current.
