I am talking about realism, i don't care what is reflecting, it doesn't look real.I don't use social media. Perhaps you could inform the muppet that it is reflecting back what it sees, that is what the player model looks like.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. Another disappointing ray tracing implementation? Say it ain't so.I am talking about realism, i don't care what is reflecting, it doesn't look real.
And the SSR can only reflect what's on screen, i understand there is an explanation for why each technology has limits but why thinking RT reflections are such a great thing when you can't even have a good reflection of yourself? Are you serious? Anyone who has been frequenting this industry for the last while should already know that first person shooters more often than not use separate 1st and 3rd person animations and character models so what you see in 1st person is not necessarily what happens in the 3rd person game world.
Of course. Look the FPS have this problem for years, you don't see the same thing...Who cares? Ray Tracing was about realism, not having those fake lights or reflections and so on. Now we make excuses for why the reflections don't look real.Another disappointing ray tracing implementation? Say it ain't so.
Wow, that actually looks great to be fair. That's the first actual Ray Tracing effect I've seen that is impressive.Of course. Look at the little lesbian from TLOU2, that's how a real reflection should look like.
Except that is not RT but great talent from Naughty Dog. I don't care how it is done or who does it but if we talk about realism in RT then we should demand more than those fake reflections.Wow, that actually looks great to be fair. Heh, should have known. Nontheless, it looks very good.Except that is not RT but great talent from Naughty Dog. I don't care how it is done or who does it but if we talk about realism in RT then we should demand more than those fake reflections.

What you see in the reflection is the same model other players would see looking at your character.
I understand why it is not done like i understood why it wasn't done in CP 2077. But it is disappointing and you should be more demanding than accepting the explanations and repeating them : it looks this way because...you can, but the game wasn't originally developed for RT, if the game was developed that way they would have made sure the 1st and 3rd person animations match as you can see in other RT games - now they've gone back to add RT reflections but are too lazy to create new character animations
Much better than Doom Eternal is doing it now.Duke Nukem 3D did it first

It looks this way because they don't really care about the quality of their games. If they cared, they would have fixed this problem because it can be done but it takes some time.
I would love to see AMD take performance lead in both rasta and rt next gen. AMD could use the market share and it will be fun seeing AMD fan boys changing their tune at the very least as suddenly rt will become importantAgreed, it keeps Nvidia ahead this gen....but barely!

I want more rasta still. Games like Flight Simulator can’t even do a steady 60fps at 4K.I don't care about rasterisation any more, cards are fast enough (for me anyway). I would like to see AMD focus on PC again and take a win with raytracing.

RT will get better and better each gen. We will eventually get to a point where devs start using it more and more. They will stop making use of additional silicone space provided by a new process on rasta and it will likely go almost all towards rt. My guess is that will be the case around next gen consoles are coming out.
Even at 4K? As I recall my 3080 was the bottleneck though. Was 100% utilised. Also 3090 gives more fps. I don’t know, maybe once they go dx12 it will help a bit, but I am not holding my breath.Give me a fully path traced Flight Simulator! ... Just kidding, or am I?
I don't think it's the GPU holding back FS.
