You’re acting as if god of war and spooderman are masterpieces. My ps5 has been gathering dust for the past year and a half .. i think. Cant even remember the last time i turned it on.

Played the first gow day 1, sm1 remastered later on. Finished both, none impressed. They’re ok games, nowhere near great. Daddy simulator kinda got on my nerves actually.. didnt look forward to part 2.

Regarding user scores… real bombing happens on something like diablo4. Not sony 1st party games. Too many fanboys tipping scales even if the game is mid.
I can't help you if you don't rate the game of the year. GOW and Ragnarok are master pieces which we barely see on the PC. Just be happy Sony are releasing on PC now.

I don't know about issues pointed out by DF, and therefore don't see them.

Ignorance is bliss, as the saying goes. :p :D

100% man. If you want know more:

Did you click?

Well definitely don't click here then:
Did you click again?? Right, this is your last chance, if you click this button your experience will be ruined and you will have no one to blame but yourself.

Lol. I still can't bring myself to ruin it for you.

At least you did not buy a 4090 (or pay for a Internet gpu) to play it like that

I clicked twice and no more.

I'll play on in my ignorant bliss! :p

They’re polished cinematic linear experiences. Kinda like blockbuster movies, no depth whatsoever.

Best game on ps5 is funnily enough demon souls. For me at least.

I am looking forward to it. Should be on PC next year.

Happy to see all these Sony games coming to pc. Happy to wait and play it with higher fps and better IQ.

Me and you are same in that way. We just take different paths. In your case you buy AMD GPU's and happy to wait and play the games with higher IQ for your next GPU upgrade where RT will be an option :p

Lol. You went that far, you might as well click again. Go on, you know you want to ;)

To be fair, SM2 opening level is stunning, it's embarrassing what an apu can achieve over the PC, but that's what happens when NV aren't involved.

The future has arrived with RT'ing as standard with playable fps at all resolutions...

and it'll be remembered that it all started with a Console powered by an AMD apu.

And then it will arrive on pc where it will get to go wild on rt front and make amd look like they're still stuck in the dark ages

BTW what happened to starfield, forspoken and so on? AMD mustn't have been "actively" involved I guess....

I did enjoy Metro, played it through on my mates 2080ti. It was the original with RT bolt on but was still a well made game and the RT complimented it by not going OTT. I am just of the opinion that over using RT to stupid levels is not making good use of it. Create great raster effects and use RT to decent levels to improve the game. By throwing in silly amounts they are not targeting the masses and being lazy with what is possible in the old methods. We don't need RT for a great looking game but it can be used to enhance. Until the masses are RT capable it's only an option for the top level of PC gamers and mainly NV.

So why are you even posting in this thread, just to troll..
Hmmm, big conclusion you jumped to there.

I posted because nexus said that a game is being released that you cannot disable RT on, so it will run like crap like the rest of the RT games on mid range cards, so I won’t buy any game currently with RT ( managed just fine so far without it ). Simple really, I have no desire to troll and besides i quite clearly mentioned an RT game /demo i played which this thread was created to discuss.

Only because it will run like crap on my card. I wanted to play red dead redemption 2 but thought my system would struggle with it at 1440p so I didn’t bother getting it.

But you can just turn the settings off or down. Most of the time, there is no difference between medium/high and ultra for the raster effects.

So do you post in the red dead redemption 2 thread and complain everyday about how the performance is bad? Or is it only the ray tracing thread you like to complain in?

1st post for ages, raytracing isn’t worth my time or money.

If I felt like posting in the red dead thread I would, but I don’t.

Define over using?

The RT in the original was good but it wasn't great, it was very obviously tacked on top, metro ee was leagues ahead and it performed better too and that's because the devs completely changed their workflow to be RT focussed.

Watch the above 2 clips which show the comparison between raster effects and using RT, nowadays, spending months/years on raster to get to levels like we see in rdr 2 is just simply not worth the time, effort and most importantly, money when you have a tool that is far more efficient at helping devs to do their job and even then the best raster games still exhibit all the issues with raster methods, something which we'll never be solved or masked and only RT can solve this.

The fact that we have absolutely awful performing games now even without RT says it all i.e. it's not really RT fault, it's the devs first and foremost.
