Shame it looks like something I may not enjoy as much. Not a fan for Dark Souls, it’s just bland and boring to me. Don’t mind souls type games, but they have to be set in a world I would enjoy. The Surge was not too bad and some indie games I have played that use souls like gameplay.

I loved the atmosphere of DS, something I very much miss in ER.

The Suge, one of the few games I have played through twice, and it's followup deserve more attention. Mortal Shell is another decent 'souls like', but also fairly short.

I tried it yesterday as it looked interesting..... but defo not for me after dying about 15 times in the space of 20 minutes.....

I read, some time ago, on readdit that it would be, but hadn't seen any confirmation. It very much needs it as currently looking so dated. It may also explain the performance.

Yeah it does look a bit dated in some areas (as well as some of the game play mechanics, UI etc.) although looked rather nice on the whole on oled, if the right RT effects are added, could be rather good.

Not a game I'll be playing again anytime soon though! :p

Read this earlier too, which is good news if true!

Filed this week (as spotted by a Twitter user) and credited to PS5 and PS4 engineer Mark Cerny, the patent is titled, “system and method for accelerated ray tracing with asynchronous operation and ray transformation”.

I did not like the atmosphere at all. It actually is what put me off. The Surge on the other hand was not bad. Not heard of Mortal Shell, will check it out :)

Yea. Getting older now so I just want to sit back relax and play. Not die non stop :p

Saying that, if I like the world the game is set in and I am enjoying myself, then it is not a big issue. Like as mentioned, I have played and completed both The Surge and it’s sequel. I just liked the sci-fi setting a lot more so it was easier to bare.

UL Benchmarks Unveils 3DMark Speed Way: Utilizes Ray-Tracing, Real-Time Global Illumination, Mesh Shaders & VRR

https://wccftech.com/ul-benchmarks-...ark-raytracing-real-time-global-illumination/

UL Benchmarks has stated that the benchmark will be coming to Steam later this year and teased it with two images, both of which are a work in progress and do not represent the target quality of the final product. With that said, the image quality is insane and you can already tell where the RT & Real-Time GI effects are being implemented on the futuristic bike. The benchmark will align with the next-gen GPU launches perfectly.

I imagine there will be a lack of red/rdna 2 results in that benchmark thread too then... ;) :p :D

It seems that the source code for DLSS has leaked as a result of the recent cyberattack
I guess DLSS might actually go open source because of this!
https://www.techpowerup.com/292479/nvidia-dlss-source-code-leaked

Don't think it is anything to write home about as even if someone could reverse engineer it to work, it will more than likely not work well or/and perform horribly without the appropriate hardware that nvidia cards have, however.... as some have noted, it could be very valuable to intel and amd for future cards or even intels current ai upscaler tech.

That and with it being very simple to add dlss to games as it is now (with it being a simple plugin for most game engines). I don't think we'll see much come of this.

Also, this:

https://github.com/NVIDIA/DLSS

Haven't looked at the code myself but initial comments from some people is most of what was leaked was already on the above link.
