Pre-release build footage rtx on vs off, must say this looks more like it than the previous f1 game:

I'm way more impressed than I expected to be. I didn't think these games could look much more realistic but RT actually improves the image significantly. There is nothing eye popping about the RT but it just makes the whole image look closer to real life, especially when it's raining the raining scenes look extremely close to real life

Yup I was expecting this title to be very meh even with the extra RT effects over the previous game but it is a noticeable difference throughout, as you said, whole thing just looks more grounded and the reflections

Just 4 imgsli comparisons:

Bet in motion them reflections will look great, mainly for not having them randomly disappear nor the other SSR artifacts.

Inb4 the "can't see a difference", "developers clearly put no effort into the rasterization methods" comments :D :p

RT really does well at increasing immersion. I'd put RTGI at the top of the feature set followed by Caustics, RTOA, reflections and then shadows, but most of the debate focuses on reflections only.

Videos aren't running properly where I am atm, will have a look later as I'm keen on this.

Let's be honest though, they could botch DLSS and say its the high speed effect of porpoising, so they're on to a winner either way!

I am in no rush to upgrade now that Starfield got delayed. Should hopefully give me ample time to grab a 4070/80 FE (assuming we still get FE cards and prices).

In the meantime I will continue roughing it with my 3070 and its 8MB VRAM :p

Lol.

A few have offered me some of their excess vram that they overpaid for, but I kindly declined as 99% or more of my steam library works just fine with what I have anyways, so i think I will be fine
