My question really is, what do you class as a reasonable tattoo? My understanding of a tattoo is something that is of meaning or unique to yourself. Be it of a personal interest or something family related or pretty much anything the individual chooses.
As I said earlier, there are people who regret certain tattoos and wish they had put more thought into them.
Then you have people who just do tattoos on a whim and have no idea why they did it in the first place.
Case in point: I was awaiting to get my back tattoo done when a couple walked in. Both chavs, mind. The male had the name of an ex on his arm. He wanted the tattooist to go over that with the name of his new lass and was asking how much it would cost. You can tell by the look of the tattooist he was not wanting to even talk to the dude. The couple were clearly off their heads. In the end it made me realise that I prefer to have my designed how I want it and let the tattooist know and should he feel the need to make changes he will let me know and we can work together.
I plan my tattoos, I don't just do them on a whim.
