I understand. My normal commute is only 30 miles so while waiting for a charger to be fitted, plugging every night isn't that much of a pain. There is the grand total of 1 charge point at work but not sure on the rules as currently only 1 person uses it. I tried looking at what comes standard and I believe all UK model 3s come with a 3 pin to type 2 charger, is that right?
That seems a bit daft imo, I've got loads of range and a fastish charger, why do everyday? That's correct, it'll come with a 3-pin to Type 2 adapter/cable; it's a good few metres long.
The official advice is to keep it plugged in when able anyway so even if you had a charger installed you'd still be plugging it in every time you got home.

lol, say what? How did you manage that?! Has it been posted on here?
That's a shame, I thought you'd be able to set aircon so you can come out to a nice cool car after work. It's not like it's got a massive battery in it or anything.Numerous reasons, but in short it's better for the battery, and certain functions such as preconditioning only work when it's plugged in. See page 188: https://www.tesla.com/sites/default/files/model_3_owners_manual_europe_en.pdf. It's even in caps and bold.
I'm not fortunate enough to be able to do that, but if you are, I don't know why you wouldn't. Point being it takes less than 10 seconds so don't see plugging it in/charging etc as a hassle.

You can if you do it manually. I agree it's a strange thing to limit, but there's obviously a reason.
In the winter I just go into the app 10 mins before I leave (usually whilst I'm having a ****) and it'll get up from 5c to 20c in that time, vice versa for the summer evenings. Unless you leave home/work on the dot every day then it's more efficient to do it manually anyway, and I guess that's where the restriction comes in because heating up from zero in particular does zap power, and if that was scheduled on the battery but you never actually rocked up because you were ill or something then it'd drain the battery very quickly.

I do this all the time on my (non-Tesla - crazy right!) BEV, such a useful thing. Pre-heats in the winter and clears the screen (heated screen) so no scraping or deicing - such a treat. Nice and cool for the drive home in the summer months.
You can, it was clarified in the following posts.
