The Tesla Thread

They "match" you to a specific car, so it's likely those cars are ones that got cancelled or the original owner wasn't happy with it.

I do know of people that have turned up and rejected a car because of issues. Presumably, if they can't fix them easily then they just match the owner with a new car and the original car gets put in to inventory.

Going to go test drive another Model 3 this afternoon. I can't keep waiting for the ID.3 to be delivered, and there aren't really any other EVs that I can get my hands on ASAP apart from the Polestar 2 which surprisingly has an ETA of Nov 2021.

My current car is white (not a model 3) and I can't decide if white or black is worse for dirt.y last car was silver and it didn't really look mucky till you ran a sponge over it and could see a before/after line:p.

A grey colour isn't bad, seems to take a while before looking like it needs a scrub. :D

I’m going to hang on to the new year to see if they update the Model 3 Performance as is rumoured before making the jump. Plus I’m moving house at the moment and need to get power set up there before I do get an EV

Almost certain I'll get another Tesla next and unless something radical appears I'll wait for a Giga Berlin M3/MY hopefully before the end of 2022.

Just a quick one, out of Long Range or Performance which would you get?

I feel the LR offers better value for the money than the Performance?

The Performance is exceptionally expensive for what it offers. The LR is better value for money, and if you really want more performance then add the boost upgrade for £1500.

Long range + performance boost upgrade (£1500). 0-60 in 3.9s for £8000 less than the performance. No track mode though :(

Assuming you don't mind aero wheels but then you could buy the nicer wheels and still save £7000.

been debating that myself. The head says LR.

Performance (lower suspension, turbine alloys, red split calipers, carbon spoiler, 3.1 secs to 60, track mode, alloy pedals)

is that worth the money? almost certainly no.....but :D

rsymons has a vid where he measures about 20 different tesla. Spoiler alert: there no consistency or pattern in the heights of the car or the suspension…..

turbine alloys : meh still an asymmetrical design

red calipers: ok i guess? If you wanna boy race it up

carbon spoiler: stick on tat

3.1 secs to 60 ok now we talking

track mode: meh

alloy pedals: wow wee sign me up .

Yes id have a performance of course but the good thing is the speed of which the LR pretty much is the same, really go watch youtube vids its 6 and half. So save your 10k
