I had a quick look, cheapest 20 inch is contis at 200 a corner. Explains the difference.
Something's wrong if your only getting 10k out the fronts, I get more than that out the rear (think I've got PS4 or PS4S). I had my alignment checked and they said it was fine (at Kwik fit).I have a set of cs7 on a m3p. Alignment is spot on but they seem to wear on the inner edge more than other tyres I’ve had. I think the front will only get me 10k miles and that’s if I’m lucky. I don’t drive the car hard either.

And yet the automatic wipers on my Model Y are useless still, Tesla Vision parking ‘sensors’ are rubbish compared to the ultrasonic sensors and autopilot will still phantom brake at least a few times on a long journey if the lighting isn’t perfectJust seen that Tesla have one of the largest supercomputers to process all the driving data, internal and external camera imagery to train their AI! Quite amazing.
Yup. It’s frustrating because Tesla do get some things very right (charging network, mobile app, efficiency) but the things you’d expect to ‘just work’ really don’t because they seem to do it differently just to be different.#legacyauto. Where stuff they have used for years just works…

Yeah I suspect all of Tesla's automated systems tend to work better in the US compared to the UK.I genuinely have no issue with the auto wipers in my Model S these days - they definitely massively improved the algorithm with a software update.
On the other hand, my Rivian has a proper rain sensor and I find myself constantly having to manually wipe the windshield in that...
In all honesty its entirely down to just wanting the 4wd version with a bit more power. There are no stalks on the Model 3 so it’s whether you think you can get used to that in time or not.
Do you need long range? RWD is cheaper and the range is still very good.
Fair enough and all the reasons you need!In all honesty its entirely down to just wanting the 4wd version with a bit more power.
Cheers for this. I just need to now work out if any family/friends will disown me for buying a Nazimobile.Fair enough and all the reasons you need!
I had the previous Model in RWD standard range guise, it had the same battery and motor as the current one.
Range was more than good enough and I think it’s in the region of 300hp which is still quick. It’s just not as quick!
I was getting ~210-220 miles in the depths of winter and 240ish in the summer.
Headline charging speed is lower than the long range but the % added per minute is about the same, of course that translates into less miles.
There used to be some subtle but important interior differences between standard range and long range AWD but I’m not sure if that is still the case. It used to be the case that standard range had a lower tier sound system with less speakers. Worth checking if you do drop down from AWD.
The sweet spot is probably long range RWD if it gets the better stereo
