The "Top Gear", Season 24/25/26 thread

Have you seen what he was driving? Basically 3 wheels and a huge engine. You’d have to be a muppet to think you could take a corner with the speed that thing could give you.

Looks real safe. Muppets. Any accident in that is going to mess you up.

He could probably sue the crap out of them considering it has no rollover protection, but then you have to be pretty thick to drive it at speed in the first place.

All the fun you get on top gear is on YouTube now with content coming daily. The days of the BBC are numbered.
are there youtube driving oriented shows which have multiple interacting presenters - that remains forte of traditional media - ~I don't want someones individual ego.
- johnny, mat, thomas all become a bit interchangeable.

see above to my post. he was driving an old Morgan three wheel and tipped it on a bend and slid along the floor. Hence no ari bags, no roll cage. he had a helmet only but perhaps his face scrapped along the floor for some time. those old three wheelers scare me to death

I read it wasn't fitted with them. Not sure it would have helped either way if that is what happened

Just to confirm the below is from his 2019 crash, his latest was in a Morgan Super 3, released in 2022.

See Freddie was out with England today think the photo speaks for itself that he’s been pretty badly disfigured and is clearly having to have a lot of reconstructive surgery.

Came here to post this, poor bloke. Glad he's getting out in the public domain and doing what he enjoys though, I imagine he and his family are going through some tough mental challenges.

Feel like it’s finished Top Gear for good to be honest or at least in its current form. Presenters nearly killing themselves hooning about has happened multiple times now, surely the insurers won’t keep allowing it.

If all the health and safety isn’t watertight on this someone’s gonna get taken to the cleaners. You can see why it’s been very hushed up cos clearly it was very serious.

I do wonder why this has been kept so quiet considering how much publicity previous Top Gear accidents have been given. There's been absolutely nothing from the BBC at all.

A bit like Peter Kay, I still have no idea what happened to him and no idea exactly what happened to Freddie.
It's amazing really that nothing has come out.
