The "Top Gear", Season 24/25/26 thread

There's a big difference between being scripted and feeling like its just being read from a teleprompter, and being scripted and feeling like it's almost spontaneous.
I get what you mean, for those who watched Friends it seems at times when Matt is saying his lines that it's Doctor Drake Ramoray speaking (which is kind of odd as that was Matt playing Joey acting badly, and Matt can act as seen by Joey).

Haha I've noticed this too, just thought Matt LeBlanc has got a bit older since friends hence the deeper voice.

What's happened to having others on like Eddie Jordan and Sabine Schmitz?

Sabine will be back in tomorrows episode, her and Rory take a Golf GTI Clubsport around the ring and overtake "£1 million worth of cars", which definitely did not have anything to do with the fact that Sabine was driving the Golf and every other car was just driven by Joe public...

Reminds me of a firm wide presentation we had last year. A few of the directors' speeches were just monotone read off a sheet in front of them, while a few were hilarious and felt completely off the cuff (but weren't).

I find it funny when directors say something in a presentation like "I'm soooo excited to announce..." but have the most monotone voice and deadpan expression.

Yet another recycled feature. TG magazine did the "overtake a million pounds worth of cars at the 'ring" in an Atom years ago. They literally can't think of anything original.

Yes but you could just buy a Focus RS for the track, go faster, and take the kids :p

Focus RS definitely faster?

A car built for the track can beat far more powerful cars.

Which 99% of people (including me) aren't even aware of.
