Well I have finally got round to sticking ICS on my touchpad and I have se say I'm pleasantly surprised. Couple of questions though (with more technical questions to come in the morning...)
How do I know what app in the play store is actually designed for tablets and what is not? For example the BBC news app is but the Guardian isn't (shame as the WebOS one was so good!)
How do I know games will run properly on the touchpad? Do they scale depending on the ability of the pad or...?
BBC iPlayer, the app doesn't appear to work, just links to the mobile version which needs flash, what's the best way of watching it, is it through the mobile site? I'm sure I remember there being a suggestion that the best way to view it on android tablets is using an iPad string in the web name?
I've also got loads of questions regarding getting the best battery life and clearing caches but I'll leave that til tomorrow (downloaded the latest nightly and just installed it)!
EDIT: Also what games and apps are good on it?
I'm in a similar boat to you, I've installed ICS and it's working but I'm still getting to grips with what does and doesn't work.
I managed to get the iPlayer working by installing a flash plugin. The official adobe one says it's no longer supported, but even so I installed it and appears to work.
As for games, I have no idea, but Android is supposed to have good emulation support. I guess a bluetooth controller would be handy also.
Finally, BS player is good for video playback, the free version does everything I need.
If you make any progress post it here as I'm still struggling to get little things working, such as when I put it on charge in the touchstone, it stops my currently playing video, very annoying and it doesn't so this on WebOS.
EDIT: As for recommended apps, I haven't installed that many, an ebook reader beginning with K (the name escapes me), pretty much a straight rip-off of iBooks, but I like it as it does what I want, which is read PDF and EPUB files.
Podcatcher is nice also, if a little over complicated for what it does.
Opera isn't bad either, it tends to crash a little less then the built browser.
