The Updated X2 3800+ Overclocking Thread ...

I disagree with you. Running my x2 [email protected] stock speed doesn't make it very much hotter :) . Increasing clock speeds however makes it a lot hotter, especially combined with higher volts of course
Increasing clocks doesnt seem to make mine that much hotter, volts does (like running 2400 at stock volts it doesnt heat up much at all, 2600 @ 1.55 is a lot hotter).

How do you run dual prime btw? Had to run one at a time which sucks.

CPU Clock: 2500Mhz

Stepping, I forget, 0601 something. This chip has been up to 3.1ghz (clearly not stable, ran superpi at 2.95 though) in a shuttle (rubbish psu, iffy mobo) under water so when I finally get my case back from the anodiser and get this thing back under water with a proper mobo and my seasonic 600w I am sure I'll be slaughtering this speed :p

Copy the folder to another location. Then go to advanced>affinity. Choose different affinity for each

I suppose I might as well post my AM2 results. I just discovered yesterday that I had... ahem... been using my Zalman CNPS9500 with the fan facing the wrong way around for the last two months, which explains the fact that I was getting temps of around 60C under load. I reseated it and now my load temp is 48C :) I'll see if I can get any more out of it later, but for the moment here are my current results:

CPU Clock: 2600Mhz
HTT: 260
RAM FSB: 1040
Timings: 5-5-5-9 2T 2.1V
VCore: 1.456V
HT: 4x
Core: Windsor
Stepping: LDB4F 0621RPFW
Cooling: Zalman CNPS9500 AM2
Mobo: Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe

Vegeta ..... you can also use something called "SP2004" which is a GUI for Prime95 and will run on both cores. Simpler to use IMHO.

Lots of post here! I'll make an update tomorrow if I can, but there is an electrician coming over for the next few days, so I might have no power :(.

markyb: Did you get that Toledo core`d X2 from ocuk ? looking for a toledo aswell.

Yep, Got the OEM Version. Very happy with it. I didnt overclock until almost 3 months of running at stock.

Been running @ 2.8 for almost two days now 24/7 running every single bench at it. Had No problems what so ever. Nice and stable. Going to try higher later tonight :D ;)

TABLE UPDATED

Ok, I've updated the table to here. Some people have given me some quite scanty info, so if you're one of these sinners - cough up! ;)

Matt100 ... You're already in the table at 4. Do you want me to replace it or make another entry for you?

its a different chip/motherboard/ram and cooling so I guess it'd better be a new entry.

If I bother putting it under water rather than going straight to c2d then you can update the next speed.

Here is the much needed info you require.

CPU Clock: 2600Mhz
HTT: 260
RAM FSB: 216.6
Timings: 2.5, 3, 2, 5 1T
VCore: 1.425V
HT: 4x
Core: Manchester
Stepping: LDBFE 0612UPAW
Cooling: Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro
Mobo : DFI Lanparty UT SLI-D

edited the RAM FSB

AN Other ... thought you might want the stepping code for my Windsor core cpu to complete my 2520MHz entry in your table. It is LDB4F 0626XPDW. Any1 know what the LDB4F digits mean??? How often does this 5digit code change .... in each batch or every few weeks??

I am probably going to buy a Titan Amanda soonish so look out for my 2520MHz moving up the table!!!

Quick question, I've got my CPU @ 2.15GHz atm but if I put the frequency upto 220, my RAM automatically lowers itself to 166MHz (I think). I know my rams only rated to work @ 200MHz but I thought I'd get more out it than 15MHz? Should I increase the RAM voltage or do I definately need to run the ram at something other than 1:1 to get a higher o/cr?

Yep, thats what happens to mine.

At the moment ive got my 3800 @ 2.8Ghz @333mhz Ram. It will not work at all set at 400mhz.

Have you tried Overclocking more? Whats you HT set at? 400mhz, 600mhz or 800mhz?
