I went for the ~£40 coil master kit that included everything in the case and as Tommy says, perfect coils everytime.

It probably takes me longer to find the right size end piece and cut the wire off the spool than it does to actually wrap the coil

Funny, i bought the Kuro as it was cheaper but it works and it takes me seconds to wrap the perfect coil, however i recently ordered the Coilmaster Tab 521 and Won a Coilmaster V3 coiling kit with the order :)
Just waiting for it to arrive....

Quick question as you've already got a DNA200 up and running.

Any issues with using dual 18650s out of the box? Or are they shipping with the correct firmware

the chips default is set to use 3 cell, so if you build for dual 18650 and plug them in and hit fire, the screen will light up and go out as soon as you let get... so before it will run fully on the dual 18650, you need to plug it into a pc, run escribe, which will automatically check for and offer an update if there is one, then you need to change the power setting in escribe to tell the mod to use 2 cell... then its a good idea to run the watt-hour calculator to set it up to meter the battery properly.

Thanks.

Already got the latest Escribe installed with a profile setup ready for 2-cell 2500mah @ 7.4v (Samsung 25R)

Last question as the evolv forum isn't too clear on Balance port wiring

Pin 1 - to battery -ve
Pin 2 - Battery +ve
Pin 3 + 4- Bridge the pins then connect between the +ve and -ve on the Battery sled or the main +ve on the board

Ok the balance tabs..

I connected the + from the battery sled to the B+ on the board, then ran solder from the B+ down to connect and cover tabs 3&2.
I ran the - from the battery sled to the B- on the board and ran solder down from it to the 0 tab pin to connect and cover it.
I then soldered a new smaller awg wire from the battery sled where the +&- are joined together and ran it to pin 1.

Now you can solder separate wires if you want...

Pins 3&2 need to connect to the battery positive or B+ on the chip.
Pin 1 needs to connect to the battery sled where you have the +&- joined for series connection.
Pin 0 needs to be connected to the battery negative or B- on the chip.

Thanks, so sounds like the verticals are the way to go. It came with an rba but I think they redesigned this also after I bought mine. I will try that next and see how it is.
I think it's the rba+ that replaced it. It has big holes in the side whereas my rba just has tiny channels. Oh well will try it and see.
Thanks.

Cthulhu v2's are now shipping to customers!!!

Good Evening Everyone!

You may have noticed that some order have been set to completed.
If it has not, it will be updated tomorrow as we are processing them.

We are pleased to announce that the Cthulhu RTA V2 arrived safely today.
All orders are currently in the process of being fulfilled and will be shipping within the next 24 hours.

One thing to note - we do not recommend using the wick holder with the single coil deck as it can make things difficult to remove later.

Any hints or tips you find, please let us know as we are working with the new RTA at the same time as you!

If you have any questions, we've opened a public subreddit at reddit.com/r/vapourdepot to help create a FAQ guide for any products we stock. Help us help you!

Finally, you will receive an email from Trustpilot asking for a review. It would be appreciated if you could leave a review for us to help improve how we do things.

Anything you need, feel free to drop me an email and I'll answer as quick as I can.

Happy Vaping!

Once you've received the Cthulhu please let us know how you get on, currently torn between waiting on one of these or grabbing a billow v2!

Should I take the plunge on the IPV3 Li or not? Undecided, my most powerful mod is the IPV D2 at the moment, which is just about powering the TFV4 enough with the .2 coils, but the tank clearly needs about 20 watts more to get a better vape!

1 litre of PG arrived this morning, this'll last me absolutely ages as all my mixes are predominantly higher in VG, with the PG being made up between concentrates/nic.

Also some nice red heatshrink wrap to rewrap some 25R's, should be fun :-)

I rewrapped all of my batteries in red last night.

Going to order some black and blue to rewrap my new 25Rs when they arrive as they'll be married pairs for using in my DNA200 mod

Will do, got my shipping invoice for it yesterday so with a bit of luck it might be there when I get home tonight, failing that tomorrow.

Do you need the 165w (or what ever it is) the Li kicks out? If not take a look at the IPV4S, 120w, 100J, titanium and nickel support, dual 18650 and is smaller then the Li too, iirc comes in around £38 on FT.

Maybe hold out for newer mods with either the DNA200 or the newer SX chip that will be out soon, hopefully in a smaller mod, the IPV3 is not that hand friendly unless you got big paws.
With the DNA you have unlimited support for wire thanks to the ability to add in the TCR from steam engine, including Hybrid wires used in Clapton coils etc...

The Li with a firmware upgrade can kick 200W, I believe a lot of htem are shipped with this firmware update now.

I don't NEED that power, or anything near it to be honest, but it's nice to have something in the kitty just incase.

Sigelei have just announced a 200W mod which looks pretty smart, think I'll end up hanging tight for the while this time.

Had a very quick play on a DNA200 last night, seems like an awesome chip. Will do some research this evening.

Doh.

Measure twice cut once only works if you have the maths right.

Ended up drilling the hole for the 510 connector 6mm too far across the top of the box.

Just ordered a Gens Ace 1300MAH 2S LIPO as it will fit in the space I have to work with.

I'm only going to have around half the battery life of dual 18650 but it will do for now to play with the chip, then I'll buy another enclosure later down the line and go with my original plan of dual 18650

Edit: changed my mind back to the original plan. Ordered another enclosure and cancelled the Battery order

Don't lipo ratings work out roughly at 3 x that of an 18650? So 1300mah on a lipo should be roughly 3900mah in 18650 terms.

Didn't know that about the Li getting a boost to 200w, shame it looks so awkward to hold.

Because of where I ended up drilling the hole it was either a 450mah 3S Lipo pack or a 1300mah 2S pack

So 2600mah roughly for the pack I ordered or 1500mah for the other option.

Having the same battery life as a single 18650 in something with a battery that's not practical to swap of carry a spare would have been stupid
