Finally fitted the dual coil deck to my cthulhu v2...Rilot, the positive post on my deck is also bent, looks like the insulation (peek?) Hasn't formed evenly under it, will get a pic up shortly and will get in touch with the vendor to see if they can sort out a replacement deck.

Just tried the dual coil deck, the chimney doesn't actually for over the deck the posts are that warped. Wonderful QC.

.5mm Titanium is 24awg, .4mm titanium is 26awg.

As for Kanthal, 28awg is .32mm

Basically, the higher the AWG number, the thinner the wire and lower the resistance it has per inch...

So for single coil use the 24awg Ti and if you want Dual coil use the 26awg TI wire :)

That makes sense, I will be sticking with single coil for now will get the wires you linked on order :D

Glad I didn't pre-order as well especially with all the shipping delays due to them "dealing with quality issues".

If that's what they are like after what we're they like before

Its fine with single coil, but so so glad I bought the aromamizer before, nice to fall back on to something as special as that :)

Speaking of which, I ordered a pair of velocity decks for it, hopefully see them in a few weeks as they're being shipped from china.

Am wondering about trying sub-ohm vaping. Am I right in thinking I can just get a Subtank and screw it straight into my Sigelei 50w box? Using Panasonic NCR18650B batteries.

You'll need some beefier batteries those Panasonic's are a maximum continuous discharge or 6.8Amps

For sub-ohm vaping you'll need a battery with a high amp rating the most common being the following

Samsung 20R
Samsung 25R
LG HE4
Sony VTC4/5
Efest 2800mah 35amp

You can't go wrong with any of the batteries in that list, we all buy different things, I've got 8 of the Samsung 25R and a pair of the LG HE4

Always buy batteries from a reputable seller such as Torchy the Battery boy or Ecolux as there are a lot of fakes on the market that don't live up to the specs they say they (Particularly the Sony's)

Other than that a Kanger Subtank Mini would be a perfect first Sub-Ohm tank to pair with a 50W device

Hows this for CS, got an out of hours reply back from vapor depot about the Cthulhu 2 dual coil deck fault.

Said they're expecting spare parts to ship this week, when they arrive they'll pre-check a dual coil deck before sending one out to me :)

After seeing your message I decided to have a browse and I heard ding dong whilst minimised wondered what it was (multiple tabs open) finally saw on vapour depot live chat asking if I needed any help also I can confirm it is a human "Vapor Depot:
No proplem" :D

Mine is so bad that the chimney won't even screw down on the dual coil deck.

TBH I think the whole design is flawed. Even with the single coil deck I just can't get it to wick properly. Burned hit after burned hit. I just rebuilt it this morning to check I wasn't doing something stupid and after 4 hits, burned......

Haha I can't even get the chimney down far enough to see if it will screw on or not :D

Treat your self to an aromamizer rdta rilot you won't regret it, got a dual coil 26awg 0.6 kanthal build in with max vg chain vaping away at 45w, sublime :)

It is the Hcigar VT200 I was considering based on my experience with the VT40.

from the reviews I've seen, the VT200 may look the same as the VT40 but it's not build to the same standards.

I would spend that little bit more and get the shark version. :)

I think I'm going to pass actually. I just prefer the way that YiHi devices work so I'll probably bag the new SX-Mini instead.

I haven't had any of the issues at all with my Cthulhu V2.

Vapour Depot are a good pair of guys so no doubt they'll sort you out.

How are you wicking it?

Muji cotton, loosely rolled. Lying in the juice wells and just touching the bottom. A small groove pressed in to them to allow juice flow. Basically, the same way I would wick a Goblin or Goliath.

Yeah, looked at those. I'm interested in the Velocity deck. What vendor do you recommend for one?

I used cloud9 (now creme de vape) which is £31.95, I got the 3ml tank but I'd recommend the 6ml as it easily uses 10ml a day. The velocity deck I have on order direct with steam crave, I actually ordered two of them so I had a backup and those were $15 a piece, they were due a batch I'm yesterday but am still awaiting confirmation on shipping.

The vape ring air flow control is a little tacky on it, but the rest of the tank is excellent, well worth the relatively low cost.

Try it with no cotton at all in the juice wells, the guides I've seen all recommend doing it this way. Was the same with the V1.

EDIT: Check the juice flow control as well. I made the mistake of not opening it back up again after I filled and got a lovely burnt taste on the 2/3rd hit.

^my single coil deck is out but still coiled and wicked, I'll grab a photo of it tonight. Have the wick near enough just sat on the deck rather then down the juice wells.
