Haha I can't even get the chimney down far enough to see if it will screw on or not :D

Treat your self to an aromamizer rdta rilot you won't regret it, got a dual coil 26awg 0.6 kanthal build in with max vg chain vaping away at 45w, sublime :)

Is the aromomizer 23mm around the ring or the tank? How is it for leaks (knocked around in a pocket)

23mm on the tank, though doesn't look out of place on any mod I've tried (ipv 4/d2, subox mini & sxk60).

The only time it will leak is if you leave it on its side with the airflow open for a period of time, can only presume the liquid is dripping from the wicks down an air hole. You will need to periodically remove the airflow band and give it a wipe as any residue will collect under it, but no big deal give the tank usually gets a good clean once a week anyhow :)

So is this Cthulu v2 a no go at the moment?

I got my finger on the trigger for a:

IPV D2
UWell Crown with RBA deck.

and a possible aromomizer.

I do like the lok of the Cthulu v2 but if it more hassle than it's worth I won't get it.

I have been using the same combo for the last week, and the D2 and crown works so well together.

another quick question guys, I was reading the info on the very first page of this thread and I noticed this: "DO NOT PUT SUB OHM COILS ON BASIC EGO BATTERIES"

I orderred yesterday a Joyetech eGo ONE Mini 850 Kit , it comes with a "1 x 0.5ohm Coil Head (installed)"
I checked the specs for the batterry :"eGo ONE Mini standard battery is a 850mAh lithium battery with direct output mode."

is this a basic eGo battery? shouldn't I used the 0.5ohm Coil?
I would have thought that since the 0.5 comes witht he kit the battery should be able to handle it...

All good dude. Aslong as you bought the full kit, they are designed to work together.

Ended up getting an Aspire Triton with a normal coil for now, TC coils have come out for it and I have one just to test but it's a 0.15ohm and not sure if my 40w is enough for that. How can I work out what range it will work with?

No issues here with my Cthulhu V2, although after reading about some QC issues with the guys on here, I'd probably say wait until the second batch is released around October time.

This thread needs more pictures :)

Nice, my D2 has more of the "just been mugged" urban look about it, dropped it twice while drunk, paints chipped and the battery door had to get re shaped, still works perfectly though :D

Running in Temp control is not the same as normal Kanthal mode, so the low ohms only needs enough power to get it to temp as quickly as possible, then the mod will reduce the power to try and hold the set temp limit. 40w will be fine m8, ive been using .07 -.25ohm coils on my DNA40's for months and no issues.

However, to work out the best coil for a given mod... steam-engine ....

Made my first coil on the coil-master coiler and it kinda wrapped up in itself but another try and worked well. Ni200 is a bit fiddly and springy to work with mind and a bit of a pain to get right on the Kayfun but got there and all working well. I can't say I can taste any different mind.

You are not going to get much difference in flavour, unless you can taste the wire as some can (I get a chemical taste from NI200 so prefer Titanium as it tastes cleaner to me), the whole point really is no more burnt hits or boiling juice to release harmful crap...

Oh, didn't realise that ni200 coils were available for the Triton. Just ordered some. I can't see them being better than the 0.4 Ohm coils which are just immense and last forever. Worth trying though seeing as I have so many TC mods.

Ah! Thanks, appreciated. And thanks for the steam-engine link, useful!

What's an appropriate temp range to work through?

With my 40W limit and the 0.15ohm the voltage will only go to 2.45 max where as I'm used to keeping things around the 3.6v mark... if this is just to get it to temp then I'm assuming it is sufficient?

Sorry for the newby questions, thanks :)

The power you apply in TC mode controls how quickly you get to your set temperature. I tend to set the mod to max W or J and just adjust the temperature to taste. What is the mod you are using?

For a temp setting I find that it varies massively depending on the atty, coil, and juice. Start at 180C and work up from there. Some of my stuff is best at 230C and other stuff is best at 170C.
