Finally gave it a blast... 60w pre heat, 50w normal... not bad but not hitting temp limit so bumped her up... 70w pre heat and 60w normal and wow.. what a vape, though im not sure it may not have a slight leak, maybe needs more wick, dunno, i just re packed with a small allen key so will see...

What temp have you set & what TFR you using ?
Have a similar build in TFV4 , i did use some heat to get a tight twist & a less springy coil( not glowing red but enough to change the colour of Ti).
Have my temp set to 475f & using Steam Engine T1 TFR , very nice vape.It does hit the temp limit sometimes but power only drops a little.Have put probably 5 tanks through it in the last 3 days & so far vape has not changed.
Cannot seem to get temp control & the SS coils in Crown to vape consistently , set it & seems great , leave it alone for an hour or so & vape has changed , dunno probably just me.

I use the Ti1 TFR on the DNA200.

I couldn't get the Crown SS coils working right with TC, it wouldn't for love nor money let me lock the resistance in. Same with 317L on a dripper

For that dual twisted titanium coil i currently have the temp limit set to 270c and have not had a dry hit yet... the TFR i got off Steam Engine for Titanium
1, DNA200.

As for the Crown SS coil heads, they work a treat on the DNA200, but i used the 304 SS TFR from steam engine, and ran the .5ohm head at about 260c also, my mate runs his with the same TFR and 300C.

I had the same trouble with the RBA and its SS coil, but found the heads worked great, then i realized it was the 510 centre pin in the base of the tank, loosened the coil head, push the pin up and then screw down the coil head, you should feel more resistance as you do, then see how that goes, every time i swap between the RBA and a coil heads in the Crown, i have to do the pin push to get them to work properly..

Will have to take a look once I put my DNA200 back together.

Plastidip came out a lovely finish for the mod but I've managed to peel some of it epoxying the face plate so I need to either rethink and use something else or repaint it. Comes out a nice textured rubber finish though

Hi All.

Looking for a bit of confusion relief really.

I have a Subtank nano and the 'One Box Mod', all is well but I am wanting a smaller mod that can run the nano on 0.5ohm (never really go over 20w). I looked at mech mods but the lack of watt/ voltage control puts me off. Managed to get myself confused the other day with different mods. What smaller mods do you guys have, names or pictures would be helpful to me in finding the right mod.

Thanks, Brack.

That Marco looks good!

Just seen the cloupor mini 30w. Seems the same size as the Marco. Will look into this.

thank you UKDTweak.:)

I have seen the istick 30w and 40w recommended here numerous times but why not the 50w.
I bought the 50w yesterday for £33.00. Not sure if that's good or not tbh.
Basically got the istick for the same price as the coolfire iv, which I originally intended on buying but it had NO charge at all and couldn't be bothered waiting.

The Macro is basically the same body as the Cloupor Mini, however, the chip in the Macro is a Genuine DNA40 and has temp control, the Cloupor Mini has a chinese made 30w chip that is not as accurate or efficient and the 510 is not sprung loaded, it has to be manually adjusted to fit different atties and it does Not do temp control, it cant buck as low as the DNA40 chip and a few were reported to catch fire, i modded my own Cloupor Mini by removing the chinese chip and 510 and replacing them with a Genuine DNA40 and a spring loaded 510.

The Istick 50w have been known to fail, even Auto fire on their own and burn out, my local B&M has stopped selling them due to the number of returns of the 50w model.
I would Not leave it charging overnight or unattended and certainly Not leave it unattended with an atty attached.

My local one has stopped selling all the Isticks IIRC. Mainly due to SIDS (Sudden Istick Death Syndrome :D) on the 50w and the 40W TC and the 510s falling apart on the 40W TC

What's folks opinion on Vampire Vape.
I ask because they stock it locally.
I still have some of the Pinkman and Heisenberg flavours.
It's OK... More of a novelty. Pinkman is a bit pants and a pale imitation of Heisenberg, while the latter is rather unique... tastes how I imagined my blue w/c liquid does!
The Blackjack is quite hefty on the aniseed. Just a few drags on that and I'm done.
Batjuice is quieter and easier to manage a whole tankful.

TBH, I generally prefer other liquids. I might occasionally grab a Vamp and make use of my drip tip, but that's about it.
Other nutters I know have Heisenberg as their ADV!!

Was not aware of that.
Do you know if the problem has been resolved?
I thought it was quite a good design....have to press button 5 times to turn on so can't actually accidentally fire it.
The shopkeep actually told me not to charge it overnight though.
Got me worried now....do I have a right to return it - before it burns the house down.

The Blackjack is what I started on but decided I'm not that keen but can't get rid of the taste.
I haven't cleaned anything, just put a different juice in to try to dilute it a bit.

The problem was never fully identified, some thought it was juice getting into the back of the fire button, but either way it happened even when the mods were locked.
Im not sure if there were that many, the main issue was the fire button suddenly deciding not to work or miss firing during use which could lead to auto firing, either way, i never bothered to buy one and wont recommend them, the 20w had a bad 510 and the 40w has some possible 510 issues too it seams... the 30w has been ok but it too has some issues, it sometimes fails to fire when the fire button is pressed, the 20w had the same intermittent issue as well... the 30w seams to be the best of the bunch.

If you only just purchased it then you have a right to return it for something else at least...

Woop I am off my ban. Long 5 days...

Anyone see the CloudOne RTA by Clod Mods, looks pretty nice and gets good reviews. Early production (Friends & Family & Reviewers)

Yeah, my 50w just stopped firing one day. It just makes a brief squeak and says 'power low'.
Shame...

On another note, what's the big fuss about the Velocity RDA? The deck is lovely, but the vape is nothing out of the ordinary IMO. Nice enough, but not really much different from say, an MX v2.
The Marquis is still my number one for taste. Just not as hassle free to coil. Might have to see what this Aromamiser/velocity deck hype is all about :D
