They only appeared this week end, so its a good choice till the Wismec 18650 arrives... i will get one as soon as they do... the Efusion may get sold pretty soon...

Many alternatives to be had, but would recommend the subtank mini.

How many watts do you need/want, and do you need TC?

Im currently running a 50w big box istick with a nautilis, currently im thinking a tube style. I definately want variable voltage at the very least but variable wattage is useful on the istick. Not sure on tc, but im sort of going on the basis that if it has it i dont have to use it.

The logic behind the battery is its independant of the head, if i get a well specced one it'll hopefully last through many different heads.

Its like having a good lighter when using analogues, itll work regardless of what your actually smoking at the time.

Nice, thats a very tidy looking job, MOSFET i hope?
Yup, didn't have enough room for fuses... who wants to live for ever though :D
It is a tight squeeze, still gotta epoxy bits and I'm going to replace the switch as its a bit temperamental and refuses to fire.
unmatched batteries?
No mate, re-wraps as spotted by UKDTweak's eagle eye.

Running a dual coil @ 0.2ohms - 4 wraps of 24AWG kanthal on 2.8mm diameter stocked with a "Scottish roll wick" that I find to be very very good, all in a slowtech Mutation X V4 (SKU: 2086100)
Been using that RDA since April, I haven't find anything easier to build on or that provides me with a better vape.

I have been chugging Clown Juice - Pennywise for the past month, can't get enough of it.

Should we set up a separate thread for Vape Juice.

Include things like:

Brand/Name/PG/VG/Nicotine/Advertised Flavour
Actual Flavour: (desc)
Strength of Flavour: (out of 10)
Rate: (out of 10)
Summary: (if you feel compelled to write such)

I know these things are subjective but it would be good to collate the info and get recommendations.

Could list ingredients etc... if home brew.

The trouble is flavour is so subjective and varies so much depending on the device and even the wattage you are vaping at

Agree, even had an argument with people on UKV although some agreed with me that one particular reviewer just imagines flavours that are non existent. This was regarding the Isle of Custard flavours which I didn't like. Since I stopped smoking I have been strict with my dental and oral hygiene so I'd like to think my tastebuds aren't shot but if I get an eliquid for example that advertises apples then I sure as hell want to taste apples and not a pineapple.

I ordered some eliquids from a facebook vendor today that made the original Hodges Homebrew before he sold it and went into temporary retirement but now he is back but through a limited facebook group.

I'm letting the flavours steep for a couple of days but they smell blooming fantastic and believe me if they didn't smell or if they don't taste nice then I'll state my opinion.

Hey guys, I'm thinking of going into my high street now as there's a Liberty Flights shop which has some Kanger Subtank Mini V2s in stock at £26.99. They only have white in stock but their live chat said they could send me a black one out today if I want with no postage cost.

I can't decide if I want white or black to sit on my black Sigelei 50w box mod, what do you reckon? :) Also, is this atomiser any good, is it quite leak resistant? And I'm only interested in the RBA deck. Seems to be as easy to build single coils on as my Kayfun?

Personally, I see nothing wrong with the Subtank Mini. It's kind of the benchmark for mass-produced sub-ohm tanks.
There are better items out there now though. In this space my money would (and indeed has) go on a Uwell Crown with the RBA deck. I've got two of them and don't touch my Subtanks any more.

Interesting, Rilot. I've googled the Uwell Crown and it looks quite nice but seems to be out of stock in many places and I kind of wanted to pick something up today. What would be the advantages of it over the Kanger, apart from it being cheaper?

The Subtank Mini with the RBA is a darn good atty and easy to build and wick, so you cant go wrong with one.
The Uwell Crown is a better tank for flavour perhaps, but its a pain to wick, you either stuff it full of cotton so the wicking is slower and it cant hold of temps as the juice runs out or you use less cotton so it can wick faster and maintain higher temps but you risk it leaking when you fill it, the latter can be done so it does not leak, but its hard to get right Every time.

Thanks for the info UKDTweak, I'll just go with the subtank mini then. I prefer an easier build/wicking. Also, although I have tons and tons of cotton wool, I've just been using 2 and 3mm silica for my wicks.

I found mine was awful and went back to my eGo ONE Mega...

Juice ran too low for adequate wicking, even with over 1ml still left in the tank.
Was a bit fussy on some settings, could be a bit leaky/condensationy, taste was a bit off with the plastic drip-tip, generally a lot of hassle and disappointment.
Build quality felt good, but that was about it, for me.

I just got an Aspire Triton and so far am getting on pretty well. HUUUUUUUUUUUGE clouds on the 0.4Ω coil, to the point where even the smokers outside are raising an eyebrow!
Top filling mechanism is great, though can be a bit messy with liquids that use a fat pippette. Reasonably easy to use most of the fluid before it drops to an unwickable level.

Aside from utterly burning through fluid (used 6ml over 3 'fag breaks' just this morning), my only real complaint is getting a lot of fluid collecting in the chimney spaces. Not sure if that's condensation or what, as I'm only just coming up to the recommended 25-30w range at this point. I still have the top vent fully closed and only vaping a 60%VG Cuttwood sauce, but there's a bit of spitting and I imagine that is what's causing it.

Anyone have any insight on what's happening there and how I might cure it?

Fluid in the chimney is typical of spit back, this can be a result of flooding or not enough power being used to burn off the juice being used.

Running it now and vaping in TC mode with stock Aspire Triton SS coils. Working like a charm.
Do you use Ni or Ti settings for TC on these?

I've heard tales of the Triton SS coils popping/going up the duff when used for TC. Not sure if it was a problem Aspire were having with dodgy coil batches, or if they're just not meant for TC?

Tim Hodge! He's local to me, have tried his juices before it 'got big' and sold onto the likes of Paul Shirley etc.
They've really done well with the brand, and their CS is very good.
Would love to try Tim's own juice again (that sounds so wrong).

The subtank mini is a great tank, and an easy step into the rebuilding world should you choose to venture into it.
