What about the Subtank Plus?

I've been considering one of these myself as I'm having the same issues with juice on my Mini.

Got a link?

I looked just on the main kanger site and couldn't see it, all i really want is the same old subtank but with bigger juice well (and wouldnt say no to more airflow but i know you cant have it all)

Other thing i'm debating is just getting a second subtank to carry around and swap em out when dry, means i can keep going till i get home and can give then a good clean+refill

Cheers bud, think I will go with the Evic VTC Mini and the Beyond Vape Silo for now, Whereabouts did you purchase yours from?

Where's the best place to purchase 18650 batteries from and do users have any preference on brand?

As said Torchy on eBay with preferred cells being below on no particular order

Samsung 25R
Samsung 30Q
LG HE4
LG HG2
Sony VTC5

Personally for a regluated mod like the VTC Mini I'd go for the HG2 or 30Q

Thought I would try something a bit different this time and I have to say I'm quite happy with it. 10 wraps each coming to 0.4ohms in my velocity clone.

Snap, but on a twisted messes clone. The amount of vapour is phenomenal! :p

I completely dun-goofed, spent £15 on 1ltr of VG like an idiot from Classikool on eBay, the same amount from lubrisolve is sub £6, idiot! :p

Ahh well, a £9 lesson learnt for next time.

For all you guys with the sense to make your own juice - how much is the initial outlay for all the bits you're likely to need?

I'm burning £25 a week on liquid at the moment, its still a big saving from smoking but its getting to be a bit of a pain in the balls.

Not a huge amount.
74mg nic base is about £9 for 50ml if you're buying in small quantities. It can be bought MUCH cheaper if buying in larger quantities but I'd start small and then buy bigger when you need to.
You will want a micro scale. Much easier to measure by weight than by volume when making small amounts such as 10ml
VG can be bought from Boots for about £1.50 for 200ml
PG can be bought for a similar amount from various places online
You'll then need some bottles (which I expect you have loads of empty ones lying around) and some syringes

Then it's just a case of buying your flavours. I recommend buying the concentrate for a flavour you like before shelling out on loads of flavourings and making your own. Chefs do a great line in concentrates as do T-Juice.

Ok so a few hours in with the Wotofo Serpent.

I ordered mine from Noble Vaping: https://noblevaping.co.uk/wotofo/serpent-rta-by-wotofo

Not out of preference, they just so happened to be the only place I could find with stock!

Anyhow, the bar is pretty high on £20-30 RTA's at the moment, Aromamizers, Crius to name a few, how does this stack up?

Build quality is very very good, no machine oil, smooth threading, juice control that works, everything works nicely!

Putting a coil in it was more tricky then I'd first anticipated, the post holes are offset to line up with the wicking holes, this means you can't just drop a coil in as you normally do, you have to really work with the second lead to get it in - but with a little practice I'd imagine it will become easier in time. A little tip, if using a coiling jig with this (I used a coil master v2) and you hold the winding end cap with you're right hand, wrap under not over, otherwise your leads will end up the wrong way around!!

Wicking, a doddle tbh, mahoosive juice well, wet it, poke it in a bit (giggedy) and you're done, doesn't get much simpler.

I opted for 5 wraps of UD's 26/32 clapton wire over a 2.5mm post, reads out right around 0.69/0.7 ohms.

Wrap it over first and this is what you have to contend with...

Airflow isn't as 'huge' as reviewers were making out, perhaps it was due to them using wotofo's so called 'competition coils' - which I tested btw, garbage, get silly hot over 30w and wicking can't keep up as their only wrapped over 2mm. Airflow is actually spot on for me wide open on this clapton build, for smaller builds you'll want to dial down the wattage and close up the airflow a little to suit :)

Flavor is very very very good, have it at 40w, sat on the RX200, using a familiar liquid, its up there with the best I've tested, clouds are dense too.

Unless it decides to do something stupid like empty a tank of juice over everything in the middle of the night this RTA is a solid 8.5/10

The cons, some, nothing drastic. The 510 is adjustable...only that once its wound all the way in its still a touch to tall to sit flush on the RX200. As well documented the glass tank section doesn't dissemble for cleaning/replacement. The airflow control ring doesn't lock in any position, it just moves freely all the way around, its not loose, doesn't move on its own, not a major issue but its still one.

I'm also going to mention the deck posts, they gain next to nothing having it offset, all it does is make it a pain in the arse to stick a coil in :p

hmmm, 25mm, won't sit nice on the istick, might be time to get a proper manly box mod for the future.

Any suggestions? Found a snow wolf 200w on that site, was also looking at a sigelei fuchal but the black's out of stock.

As much as it seemed an eejit move to get a provari 3 (nice as it is) then to jump over 20w at least i've got a decent charger now.

Any reccommendations for some batteries too, i know this place likes that fella on ebay but i'd rather like to get all from one place (and also go nowhere near ebay in general)

hello all, looking a bit of advise here for a new mod or setup ( still a bit new to all this).

I've used the eGo ONE mega for around a month and thought it was brilliant, now long story short I don't have it anymore so i'm looking at what I should purchase next. Now as said i'm still a bit new to all this but I do know the basics but just get lost when I start reading about when you guys make your own coils and get lost with the ohms etc. So, what is my next step up from what I had? what route do I go down? I'd like to stay with the stick design if possible but don't mind a box mod if its still easy enough to carry around.

Should just about nicely sit on an RX200, with a 23mm aromamizer on it, it still has a good 4-5mm of lip room before any overhang :)

Perhaps something like the Kanger subvod might be a step in the right direction? Only ~£25, stick design, tried and tested tank, should come with an RBA section if/when you decide to start making your own coils?

So i've been settling into the sub-ohm coils on the subtank mini, but sadly i fear i may be going through juice rather fast.

Does anyone have any reccomendations for similar kind of tanks but with bigger capacity? I'm finding myself less and less confident of leaving the house with anything bar a brimmed tank and at work it's dangerously close to empty by the time i get home.

Why not just do what most of us do and carry a bottle of juice with you? A 10ml bottle hardly takes up any space and re-filling takes a couple of minutes at most. I'll quite happily carry around my RX200, Arctic tank (6ml version) and a 30/50ml bottle of juice without any issues.

This, a 30ml unicorn bottle takes no space at all in the pocket, and it takes 30 seconds to fill even the most awkward of tanks.

It is a thought, i've a habit of buying juice in 100mm bottles, although i suppose it might be an idea to wash out some of the smaller ones (i buy 10ml sample and if i like it get as much as i can next time to build up a big selection)

This one? link

Sorry, i've yet to properly establish the full repitoire of brands in this game :D

Meanwhile, i bit the bullet and dug out the rba for the subtank mini, decided the stock coil was a bit wimpy so twisted it with it's spare and arrived at 0.3 ohms, with what seems like decent heat spread for such a roughly made thing.

Used the stock cotton to wick it and i've managed to successfully make it not leak and not burn at 40w, but it's tasting rather strange compared to the premade coils (like i imagine the cotton tastes like), it this normal/bad wicking/something that dies down in time?

Just to clarify the Subvod kit, it does Not come with an RBA section. just a single 0.5ohm SSOCC coil head pre fitted in the tank, but i Can confirm that the SSOCC coil heads for the Nebox do fit and work well in it.
IT is a nice and well made bit of kit and suitable as a starter (using the SSOCC 1.2ohm coils) or as a sub tank with the supplied 0.5ohm coil.

Sorry, the Wismec RX200: https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10018663/3861801-authentic-wismec-reuleaux-rx200-200w-tc-vw-apv

Triple 18650, 'real' 200w (some devices claim 200w will only do so in a very restricted ohm range). Supports regular power mode, plus temp control for nickel, titanium and stainless steel coils.

Currently the go-to high power cheap mod on the market atm.

Ah I wasn't sure, I take it the RBA+ should fit though?

Seems brilliant for they money considering I paid around £50 for my previous one here: https://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk/tornado-ii-sub-mega-vt-e-cig-kit-and-e-liquid.html

But as said looking something more advanced since I don't have that anymore but it was a good piece of kit.
