***The Vapers Lounge*** 3.0

Hey folks!

Decided to start up a little 'review' channel on YouTube (cus we need another one, obviously ;P). Just thought I'd whack a video here for y'all :)

Mods, if this isn't allowed just do your thang.

Ahh i need a mod i can put in a jacket pocket but can throw out the extra power if i need. I dont see myself going much past 100w.

What is your favourite build so far in that sort of range, as that is what i am looking to end up with.

At the moment, dual 3mm 7 wrap fused Clapton's (26*2/34), the howing stuff ft sell by the spool, hits around 0.26, lovely in every build at 70w

Are we going to see any more crazy eliquid discounts over the next few days then?

Got a CCD Wonder Worm30ml and Taffy man Banana 30ml for a total of £10.98 the other day. Bargain!

What type of vape you looking for bud? Mouth to lung or direct lung hit?
ive been using MTL nature vape builds but i have to re-wick the coils everyday and i dont have time for that, im willing to try DTL as there arnt many MTL tanks around, ive tried the nautilus x and mini and thought they were both really poor in taste

I can personally vouch for the Nautilus 2 from aspire if you want to stick to MTL. For DTL, I'd go Cleito Exo or Crown 3 before the TPD regulations kick in :)

My mod is 75w Max Is that enough for a Cleito or Crown 3?

Ahh apologies, didn't read that correctly the second time around. In that case, go for the original Cleito. It's wattage range for the .4 coils are somewhere between 40 and 60 so far as I can remember. There cheap as chips now, ridiculously easy to use and the flavour is decent enough (some people still think it's one of the best sub ohm tank for flavour infact!)

thanks! I Hope your right just ordered the original cleito and 5 extra 0.4 coils

Any opinions on the ammit dual?? I know a couple of people were getting one. So just wondering what they think of it.

The Cleito with the 0.4s is a great little tank. It drinks the juice though. You can get a 5ml bubble glass for it which makes it look odd but helps.

Cheers im making my own juices now from concentrates so im not that fussed about how much juice i use, i just want to find a tank that works for me so i can completely quit smoking as im 50/50 at the mo

How are the built in ohmmeters for some of these VW box mods?

I use to have a little black box to screw my RDA on to test but as i have said, i am looking to cut out most of the faff this time around. Can i build coils on an RTA joined to a box mod with an ohmmeter to get the total resistance of the tank or are the built in ohmmeters not great?

After being put off by people saying QC of prebuilt coils are poor, ive decided the tank i get should be an RTA. I dont want to go back to a dripper as it made such a mess last time. After seeing that there will be regs on tank sizes, i've decided to pull the trigger on buying a tank and RDA in the next few days (especially with the new cig prices!).

So here are my new revised requirements:

Tank
-30-90W sub ohm vaping
-preferably holds a fair amount of liquid.
-I would probably like the option of pre-made coils for emergency replacements when out and about
-preferably roomy to build coils for the sake of ease but only really max dual coil setups

VW box mod
-takes two 18650
-up to 100W easily (headroom would be nice)
-good built in ohmmeter for ease of rebuilding if possible (must make accurate readings without power)
-built in charging port (fast charging preferred)

With that in mind, are the Cleito and TFV-8 still ticking all my boxes?

With the RX 2/3 being not that pocket friendly + my ohmmeter request and lower power requirement, can anyone recommend anything else if there is anything available?

If on board charging is a must then you have to be looking at a DNA mod, the therion 166 generally gets good write ups, should be a ball hair over £100 from China.

For the tank you'll want either something by smok or something by ijoy as most of their tanks have rba and premade coil options both widely available.

It's all subjective. You can get a cheap device that's only function is too read ohms and it still won't be as accurate as some middle to high end mods and vice versa. Hell, my GeekVape 521 cost as much as some mods and it doesn't read as accurately as my Icon 200 mod does. However, so long as you're not super sub ohming (going below 0.1ohms) on something like a mechanical mod, most regulated devices will give you a decently accurate reading for what you're after.

See above :)

So here are my new revised requirements:

Tank

Cleito for out and about tank subohming (the exo is TPD compliant)

Personally, I wouldn't buy anything Smok. They're coils ALWAYS favour vapour production over flavour and never seem to last that long. The cleito will do you proud! Failing that, check out the Crown 3. My video review of which can be found further up this page I believe.

There are soooo many good drippers to choose from. It's all about what you want to spend. I've been out of the RDA loop since I got my Cosmonaut and that's for a very good reason... People really like the peerless which you can get for about £20 if you don't want to go mental.

VW box mod

First off, you shouldn't really be charging a dual 18650 mod via the port. Even wih some of the higher end devices, there's no guarantee the board can balance out the current accurately enough. Get a good charger.

As for actual mods, I still think the Smok ALien is a good shout. Compact and comes with a nice informative display. Again though, you get what you pay for...

Leaning towards the Cleito with the RTA kit to put my own coils in. I like the size of the TFV-8 but it seems to be aimed at a 120+w output and i was really only looking for 90 with wiggle room. I have drippers for when i use to vape but was planning to not bother with them and just use my own coils in something like a Cleito.

Will abandon on board charging if it is sketchy or reliable but very costly. I was going to use a proper charger and onboard charging for a top up at the pub but no matter - safety first!

So now i want a reasonable size pocket mod to go with my cleito.

I will check out the Alien and a few others listed on this thread
