I used to just bin them, have a few different ones on the go for different juices, but once they started to lose it they were gone.

My kit finally arrived today, pretty easy to set them up. just not too keen on the juices i picked.
I have only tried the blueberry and black magic from the TW gold kit i got but not really liking them.
Had a concern i wasnt getting any vaper until i realised i was sucking too hard and to slow down and take my time.
Just a matter of getting used to them now.

Ah dude the blueberry is awesome! Black magic I agree is a bit hard to get used to. Too many flavours going on for me to get my head around it

I just made my own Vanilla Custard. It needs to steep for a while but it tastes pretty close.

For 10ml:
3.3ml - 54mg Platinum Ice (PG base)
4.7ml - AG dilutant (VG)
2.0ml - Capella Vanilla Custard flavour
15 drop of Ethyl Malto (PG diluted)

Glad to hear you sorted your mixing problems :)

I found a place that was selling it ready mixed in to PG.

It's a sweetener.

It wasn't my mixing, it was the flavours I'd bought. All of the TW flavours were just horrible apart from the Watermelon. I bought Blackcurrant, Coconut, Columbia Coffee, Peach Schnapps and Watermelon.

Oh dude, sorry to hear you didn't get on with them. I have to admit the columbia has more of a cappuccino flavour that I'm not a massive fan of. It does steep quite well though. Their fruit flavours are my fav so far.

Just got my first mixing kit from TW after buying premixed for the last 3 months, would you say that 20% is the maximum flavouring I should put in? Made a small mix of 5ml with 15% and the flavour is very weak.

When you first mix a batch up the liquids aren't well mixed. Ideally you want to leave them to sit for a few days and give it a good shake, but you can speed up the steeping process by doing this:

1. Put liquid in sealed glass bottle
2. boil some water and mostly submerge the bottle (try to avoid submerging plastic caps) for 5 mins (I just let it sit in a pan)
3. shake and let sit for another few minutes
4. remove and let cool
5. vape your delicious liquid.

I use 10% and that's plenty strong for me (if the liquid sits for over a week it can taste very strong!), but 15% is fine depending on what kind of flavour you are after. Mix up a 10ml batch and try that technique, or just give it a shake and leave it for a day or two.

I piked up a Vapeonly BCC Mega yesterday: http://www.ivapour-elixir.co.uk/vapeonly.html

It works really well and seems to wick much better than even the Vivi Novas I've been using. It does gurgle a little bit though. Nicely made too.

Let us know what it's like to live with. My only worry with BCC atties is that you might lose some throat hit, and that's just a big no for me. It does look really nice though!

I'm tempted to try one of the dual coil heads on my nova. Apparently they're a bit of a pain to rewick, but it sounds epic. Anyone had a go with them?

Thanks. Could you suggest replacement cartomisers for the kit I bought please.

Also if the ban goes through does that mean the kit I've just brought becomes useless??

Nope, the legislation would just limit the amount of nicotine in the liquids to 4mg strength (I vape 12mg, so this would bug me). There are a lot of groups opposed to this, and it's a very small part of some big legislation going through the EU. I've been in touch with my MEP's and had some encouraging responses so far. I wouldn't worry about it now though (unless you feel like getting on to your MEP to talk about your opposition to this as well).

As for replacement atties, your kit batteries support pretty much any replacement atomiser out there (it uses what is called an ego connector, which is also compatible with 510 fittings, but they won't look as nice without the skirt sitting flush on the battery). Which is best for you is a matter of personal taste (some have better flavour, some provide a more satisfying "throat hit", some are easier to use etc), but I'm a big fan of these cartomisers
http://www.ecigwizard.com/accessori...a-dual-coil-cartomiser-black-5ml-tornado.html

I usually get a good 2 weeks out of one of those, and they provide a good vapour and throat hit. Just make sure you fill them fully the first time and give the liquid plenty of time to soak all the way through the wick. Refills can be done much quicker though.

You might also like these
http://vapourhut.com/atomisers-cartomisers/tanks/vh-nova-single-2ml

which come with 3 "heads" (the wick and heating coil bit are the bits that wear out and can be replaced in some atties), and you can either buy more heads when those wear out, or for the adventurous, you can rewick the existing ones very cheaply.

The liquids you chose are great, so I hope you like them as much as I do (again, liquid flavours are a matter of personal taste).

Let us know how you get on so we can help you through the initial learning phase and into the awesome bit. :)

Also, the 1mg on your cigarette pack is how much you absorb, so that figure is adjusted, whereas the eliquid measurement is how much is in the liquid per ml. I vape about 2-3ml a day, so even at tops that's a fraction of the 36mg in the liquid that I absorb, whereas I definitely absorbed 15mg of nicotine from the 15 fags I smoked a day.

As above, if 12mg is too strong, go for a lower strength. You can even have it without nicotine if you find you don't need it.

E: beaten like the proverbial stepchild

Good stuff, most of us are exactly the same. I stocked up on liquid supplies (cost me about £50 for a pint) and that should keep me going for about 2/3 of a year. I've just started rewicking my atty heads, so now it literally costs me nothing to vape on a daily basis. Of course I'm going to be tempted by shiny new gear, but hey, I'm human :p

Those are quite good. You only need to replace the cartomiser that goes in them, so it's a cross between the performance of a DC carto and the convenience of a tank. I used those DC cartos for ages (are you using the mega ones? I only topped mine up once or twice a day) but having got my nova going smoothly I do prefer the flavour (still working on getting the throat hit though)

Working my way through a tank of TW Gold standard columbia coffee (which I don't like very much at all), and I decided I'd mix up some TW Gold standard chocolate a friend gave me so I could try something new when I'd finished this awful columbia (or even binning it). Then I thought, what if I put a bit of chocolate into the columbia? TW GS chocolate has a real milk chocolate flavour going for it (light and sweet) and it sets off the roughness of the columbia quite well. I think I may have to get experimental more often!

I face a conundrum though. The safety cap on my elderflower concentrate arrived buggered (it just spins), so how do I get it off without showering myself in extremely pungent concentrate?

Aha! I squeezed really hard and managed to get it off without cutting it. It is SERIOUSLY pungent. I think this is one to mix under 10%. These juices can taste quite perfume-y if you mix them too strong.

I think I may need to invest in some sticky labels for all my mixes. My sense of smell is rubbish and I can never tell what I'm putting in my atties anymore :p

It's normal and good for it to sizzle and pop a bit. It will stop as the coil gunks up a bit though.

I'll swap you some juice for a nova if you don't want it anymore btw. I'd hang onto them though. I had a rubbish experience with mine at first and it lived in my vaping draw for months before coming back to it. You may end up rewicking it or something later on.

I have this horrible feeling I'm not going to be able to use my ecig in my new office. It's all open plan and the head thinks it would be distracting. Nooooooooo! How will I survive? Vaping in 3 short breaks a day? Bugger that!

E: Now confirmed as no. I'm going to talk to HR about it though and find out why. So unhappy about that :(

I've opened them all, one I took about 4 draws from and now I get a constant burning, But have a 2.8 Ohm brand new head, and then quite a few which have basically been tried then not touched as they weren't wicking for me anyway.

Just thought id say as Im not sure if you think I still have some packaged? Although the only thing which would basically make them brand new once you do your magic is a drip tip!

Also, I go for long toilet breaks and cape every now and again.. been okay with that! Good luck with HR.

Still going strong smoke free, not feeling any better health wise as in more energy levels and so on apart from better breathing.

Yeah that's fine. All I need is the body and heads, I'll rewick them anyway. Bathroom breaks ftw! :p

Cool :)

I've left it soaking for half hour and it tastes horrible. Bit like burning plastic. Can't really taste the juice.

Those clearos have a weird plastic taste for the first tank or so. It put me off a lot, I recommend the dual coil cartomisers available from ecig wizard. They're only a few quid and they just work. You should only need a minute or so for the juice to soak through the wick so it isn't that.

Just to clarify, the twist has an ego fitting, which also takes 510 fitting atties. The only difference is that ego fit atties have a skirt that fits flush on the battery, and 510 doesn't. Simples. Mini vivi novas are god stuff and can be had cheaply from vapourhut, but I think they're version 1.

Finally joined the club, my vape thing came through along with the El Toro juices.

Initial thoughts are the cigerellos are a bit too strong for me, a bit too much throat hit, even though I got the weakest one.
Whereas Eden is nice, a little sweet...

So I made a mix maybe 90% Eden, 10% Cigerellos and its perfect for me.

So other GVN are there any other juices you guys would recommend? Unfortunately the GVN site is down :(

If you like the sweeter fruity flavours, then there are plenty of good ones out there. In general, the decadent vapours liquids are good, and when it comes to fruit flavours I like the totally wicked red label stuff (I mix my own using the gold standard concentrates, but these are used in their red label liquids).
