My Innokin iClear 30 arrived yesterday so its been connected to my iTaste vv which is working great.

Sure is a beast of a clearomizer!

Also my El Toro Virginia Prime came yesterday. My first thoughts was it tasted a bit funny, but I thought I would give it benefit of the doubt and after reading about what people say about it (on uk vapers forum) getting better over time and 'steeping the juice' even though its pre-steeped it does seem to improve over time.

Today the juice does taste much better so it does make a difference if you leave it out to air a bit, which I did with the lid slightly off. After a few days it's meant to taste even better. Has anybody else noticed this with El Toro juices?

Can't comment on Virginia prime, but from recollection the el cigarillos was pretty consistent out of the bottle.
:)

Very cool to see some positive media on a well read paper. Was that the Leeds Metro? I didn't see it on the Manchester edition.

Does it have the usual genny issue of leaking out of the air hole? I'd be mighty tempted by one if it was as practical as a bog standard tank.

Do people use this without nicotine/tobacco then, just a flavour?

I use 12mg nic/ml and vape a variety of flavours with that. I smoked about 15-20 a day for 14 years, and haven't smoked for 2 years now :) Some people do phase out the nicotine and vape zero nic liquids though. The only reason I keep it in is because the nic content provides the majority of the throat hit, which is an important part of what makes a vape satisfying for me.

No. Although I've never had an issue with a Gennie leaking out of the airhole?

A very good purchase. Very easy to set up due to the isolated wick hole and the end of the wick can't short either as the base of the tank is plastic.

The best Gennie to date I have purchased.

Oh right, I'd read that if they are left lying down that the liquid can pool under the cap. Is that not the case? If so, I may have to give this a go! Until then I'll continue getting to grips with rewicking my novas, which has been fun. I tried to improvise a dual coil in parallel with two wicks and failed quite badly lol.

That's a nice haul there majnu! The nitecore charger is great. My first one died after a few charges, but I got it replaced quickly and all is well now (2yr warranty anyway).

Rizlaking, have you tried decadent vapours Cafe braziliano? So far my favourite coffee vape. Right now I'm vaping TW Columbia coffee, but it's definitely an acquired taste. No sweetness at all! Still not sure if I really like it or if I hate it :p

Gilbert, glad to hear you sorted your nova issues. New heads always taste a little bit plasticky, so maybe you just had to work through that?

I mix my own juice so they can be as strong as I like really. Some flavours are stronger than others, and some like to be left to steep for a few days until the flavour matures.

Therein lies the problem for me. My PV sits on its side most of the time and I think that would bug me.

I've been using my vamo in mini mode for the last few days and I've enjoyed it fitting in pockets and such! Button placement isn't as nice, but it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

I don't think the price is that bad tbh, considering it comes with two iclear 30 tanks and the unit itself is all stainless.

Biggest thing for me is I will be able to use different batteries.

I'm not sure what the difference is between the wattage and voltage, I would have thought they did the same job perhaps? I'll have to read up more on the reviews to find out.

:)

I'll give you the tl;dr and technical explanations.

Tl;dr is that wattage is a measure of heat output, so you can find the sweet spot for your juice and change atties etc without having to fiddle with the settings. It adjusts voltage dynamically to produce the same heat.

Technical explanation is that V=I x R and wattage is a measure of work done that mostly corresponds to the current going through the coil (more current, I, roughly equals more heat). Where R is the resistance of your atty, raising volts also raises your current. When the coil in your atty heats up, however, its resistance increases. If the voltage stays the same then your current and heat output will also vary depending on the temp and material of the coil. Variable wattage adjusts the voltage as the temp fluctuates so it produces a more consistent vape. I quite like it and haven't gone back to VV. It's especially handy if you use several different devices, as you can just set the wattage to suit that juice and swap away.

I forgot to say that I just got round to mixing up my elderflower gold standard, and without steeping my first impression is this: floral perfume. It's very much elderflower, but I suspect it needs some time to mellow. I like it, but I feel like it is a bit too perfume-y. It's quite refreshing if you take that out of the equation though.

I haven't tried it, majnu. Good?

The wonky centre post and vapour in the tank aren't out of the ordinary. I have the same thing with some of my novas.

Just ordered myself an eGo Twist 1100 Mah Battery,

Currently using a standard eGo Battery so should be a decent upgrade.

Also using Smok Tec 1.8 Ohm DC's with 8MG Menthol Liquid, I can get a good throat hit with a hugeeee drag so Im hoping to increase the voltage to get a better throat hit.

What Ohms on DC Carto's should I buy for my new eGo twist 2.0/2.4 Ohms? And roughly what voltage should I not exceed on Cartos like these Smok Tec's.

Gonna try some 2.0 Ohm DC see if i can find a sweet spot.

DC atties really shine on VV/VW devices. Generally I use around 4-4.3V on them depending on the juice.

Good stuff, looking forward to trying it but im stuck on what Ohm to buy.

2.0 Ohm Smok Tec or 2.5 Ohm Smok Tec for a extrmely thin liquid and an eGo twist which would you recommend perfomrance wise for that extra throat hit?

Gonna order in 15 so hope you're here!

On a Safe Vaping Power Chart, the 2.5 have much higher voltage capablity's will this just equal the 2.0Ohm at a lower voltage throat hit wise?

Also will this just drink my batteries juice, or does it have possitives such as better life span of cart/battery as ive read something about amps?

Low ohms is always a good thing in my books. You could always run a higher voltage on a higher resistance coil, but as your battery drains it won't necessarily be able to output the voltage you set, so a lower red coil will give more consistent performance in theory.

I like the idea of an e-pipe for just chilling out, so if anyone has any suggestions for Mockingbird I may have to jump on that as well!

Ok possibly been asked and more than likely answered, but i had ordered all the stuff for DIY mixing liquid, and well none of it has turned up as the website didnt see my order but took payment, god knows how, long story short refunded and now on the hunt for a decent site that isnt likely to have a screw up - would need everything, nic -pg -vg - concentrates although ive got my eye on capellas custard. etc at a reasonable price.

I picked up loads of all 3 dead cheap, but I can't remember the name of the site off the top of my head. I'll check when I get home.

I use to smoke 10-15 Marlboro lights a day, and switched to a E-Lite last thursday. I've not touched a real cig since.

However I have been using 1 E-Lite tip a day (approx 40Cig apparently! lol)

Just made a purchase from ecigwizard, Vision eGo (Starter bundle) and 10ml 15mg RY4 bottle.

Good stuff man. Good choices so I think you'll be pleased. We'll have you mixing your own liquids soon and you'll have the shiny gear addiction even sooner :p

Add these sites the the OP :)
They come in handy.

Good idea. If anyone has any good sites they use for DIY or for general shopping just post them up on here (I'll copy and paste a bunch for UKV when I'm not on my phone) and I'll add them to the OP. We'll try to keep them to reliable stores we've all used at some point if possible.
