Well that's my first couple of hours into the world of vaping!

Apollo eGo battery and a kanger protank, really impressed at the moment, I like the throat kick and the flavour ain't to bad, I went for a tobacco flavoured one at first to wean me off and then move onto some different flavours, it's like a cigarette which is good butthere is a slight taste difference and a 'fake' taste but I guess that's just getting the right flavour. All in all not bad, hopefully be cutting the fags right out!

I'm going to be giving this one to my ma to try as I've got a Vamo coming, my ma can have the Apollo and a vivi nova and I'll keep the protank :D

Thanks for all the advice in here, much appreciated :)

Glad you're getting on well :) If you want a very authentic tobacco flavour then I would suggest El Toro El Cigarillos which is available from house of liquid. It's a bit pricey, but it really is fantastic and blows synthetic liquids out of the water. I tend to vape ry4 flavours when I feel like a tobacco juice, because the caramel overtones sort of mask the tobacco flavour.

Anyone here got one of those KTS storms? I have to say it does look like a bit of a bargain. Not sure how my RSST would look on the brass though :/

I been using a CE4 cartomizer for the past 3 weeks and wanted to try a rebuildale atomiser. So I got an AGA-T2 delivered yesterday and have to say I'm a bit disappointed.

They don't seem to produce as much favour as the cartomizers.

May need a bit if a fiddle to get the best out of it. I still have a soft spot for cartos, but I do love my rsst.

Noticed today that the oring holding the centre post on my vapourbreak vamo has cracked already. May have to get adventurous and get the replacement oring and apply the fix myself. Not yet though. I'll wait until problems appear! My RSSt sits quite high right now (maybe 2mm off being flush) so I blame that.

Well, I've had to call it a night on trying to build my Aga T2... 3rd coil seemed to work, but couldn't get it to glow on the Vamo, in order to check for hot spots - so I'm not sure whether to crank up the watts or if it's something else...
It's a very airy inhale though - which I prefer, but have been used to the tighter draw of the Vivi Nova and the incredibly tight draw on the mini cigalike I had to use whilst waiting for the charger.

Checked out Pbusardo, Todd and some other bloke's guides on coiling the Aga - guess it's just a matter of trying again and again until I get it right... May try the PetarK method with a drill bit...

Any other tips? Particularly with the Vamo in the equation?

PeterK method ftw. Wrap coil, remove drill bit, pulse a few times, insert wick and pulse (twist wick if shorts), done.

Will give it a go, what size drill bit is needed? :)

Just use anything that fits the wick hole (I use the ink tube from a dead ballpoint pen). Wrap your coil around it (nice and tight so it holds its shape later) as though it were your SS wick, then remove the placeholder so the coil is just hanging there. Pulse it a few times so it glows red and then put your wick in.

Many liquids can be had with zero Nic, but the majority of specialist flavours made by small operations will just make a few variations of the popular strengths. You can mix tour own liquids to save money, and that also ensures that you can get zero Nic juices in any flavour. The hardware you have suggested is bang on, and you can store tanks with liquid in them without fear of leaking in most cases (I wouldn't recommend it for long periods, but simply carrying a couple tanks and vaping each as you feel like it is fine). With regard to batteries, 18650 non protected batteries made by AW or Efest are both regarded as quality brands and will work well in your vamo.

After a month back on the cancer sticks I'm ready to give the e-cig another blast. I have an ego-t starter kit thing but it's not as good as when I first got it. Had about two months use of it. Should I try a different kit or will an upgraded battery suffice?

The battery will be fine. I'd suggest trying a different atomiser (low resistance preferably).

This is why i said I think ego users should go with the Evod, or the Protank Mini!

I got a package a few days ago that i ordered about a month ago from Fasttech.... I'd forgotten i'd ordered it. I did have a few drinks that evening.... :o

A Vamo V3! Its not bad, not sure i like the spiral design. Like the removeable ring on top, much easier to clean now. The new screens nice, no more N01/N02 mode, slightly different menu system. Other than that its much the same.

Will post pics later if i'm at home.

How does the centre post feel? My main concern when it comes to longevity is that oring in the V2 that keeps deforming/breaking and the post eventually gets pushed further and further down.

Also, since we're on the subject of wire. I use .3 ribbon kanthal which gives me 2.2ohms with 3 wraps (oddly, only 2.4ohms with 4). What would I need for a 1.8ohm coil with 4 wraps?

It seems fine, though i've not had any issues with the V2 before this. Not heard of this issue until i just googled it.

I'll try and post some pics so you can take a look. :)

I'd be quite interested, thanks. I like my V2, and I admit the "ribbed for her pleasure" look does put me off a bit, but performance/£ is my main criteria these days. If someone made a mod that was the best vape in the world ever, but was housed in a pink *****, I'd still use it.

I'm also toying with the idea of picking up a KTS storm from fasttech. It is calling me.

man i so wanted an r2d2 vamo cover. out of stock :(

Same, I was all over that. The storm trooper one is my next choice, but I'm just not as enthused. Maybe white carbon?

DISC10 gives 10% off the jwraps site, but still £15.50 delivered :(

VBDISC15 should give you 15% off.

I have a vamo standard black carbon fibre jwrap and the texture on it gives it much better grip, especially useful in this weather.

Here's a tip. If you order a custom jwrap from them, their service is excellent. You send them an image and with that they design the wrap for your chosen device. They will email you back and forth with pictures of what the device will look like and you can tweak it until you're happy. They will send you two of your custom jwraps and postage is $3.00. I've not actually done it myself but I saw a stream when of the owners was explaining about their wraps and he explained this. I've seen someone's custom tardis jwrap for his MVP and it looks fantastic!

Right, I'm going to have to do this. I'm thinking light sabre (not the one they have), but I will put some thought into how I would do that.

I feel like trying something new so I'm looking at the mesh attys. I think they are given the general name of Genisis style. Is there any make or type that I should be looking at? I have mesh and coil wire (although not sure it will be the correct thickness) already.
Looking at the £20 price range.

EDIT : I like the size of the vivi nova, so im looking at getting a Genisis style the same size or there abouts.

I found the RSST reasonably cheap easy to learn on (still took me 3 goes to get my new wick and coil right last night though) thanks to the spring release positive pin and the insulated wick hole and tank. It can be extremely frustrating at first, but once you power through it it's worth it.

How do you change the Volts/Watts, there doesn't seem to be a LED display.

You charge the battery :p It's a mechanical mod, meaning you are just closing the circuit between the battery and atomiser. Whatever voltage the battery is at, goes into your atty. You tend to find low ohm coils (eg 0.8ohm) going on this sort of device where most other devices won't let you.

Absolutely make sure you're getting the Stainless steel version - I made the mistake of buying the chrome one from VapourBreak, and not only is it a fingerprint & scratch magnet, the SS just feels like a more premium mod. Batteries & charger in their Vamo kit are also a liability - I've ended up buying the same charger bundled in the Fasttech.com Vamo kit (Nitecore i4), albeit for £25 from the official UK seller - so you're getting premium batteries and the SS Vamo (plus whatever else is included) for under a tenner, delivered!

*edit*
Throw this in your fasttech.com basket when you buy the Vamo kit - it's a straight swap for the included US /EU cord - handy if you travel!

I did the same. I was convinced I was getting the SS one, but on the invoice it was clearly chrome. So gutted, my RSST matched my SS vamo perfectly too. I miss my SS vamo :( I will have to console myself with a new mod soon :D
