Emergency! I just mixed up the last of my plat ice 54mg, and now I've gone to order more and I can't find ANY nic base liquid anywhere! Where are you guys getting yours? Worst case I'll have to order ome premix stuff, but it would seem quite a waste. Need to order today so please let me know where has some stock :)

Platinum Ice 52mg is £12.74 on Liberty Flights when using ECR69 as the discount code (15% off) :). PG and VG are both in stock

Oh, thats for only 30ml, much more expensive than other e-liquid :(.

Edit: Lol, TotallyWicked sell that stuff for nearly 30 quid per 30ml?.

Weird, I'm sure I checked there. Bugger. Ended up buying some neat 54 off of cloud 9 instead.

Always great to see others getting on with their kit. I've settled down to a routine cafe braziliano on a smok dual coil carto, although I'm thinking of mixing up a batch of lotus flower once my vg and nic base arrive. I've found they're really at their best on a full battery and peter out quickly from there onwards. Thinking maybe a new battery is in order seeing as my 3 tornado batts have been in service for nearly a year now.

I'd agree with that advice. Especially on the style route. I actually prefer the way my dual coil atty and tornado batt look to a lumpy rolly any day. Any suggestions on a decent battery with a bit more grunt than the standard tornado battery? Preferably something that doesn't look (as another person aptly described them) like a *****

The kit that's linked there is pretty decent for starting out. I now use smok mega dual coil cartomisers (linked earlier on this page) with the same ego t batteries.

As far as flavours go, I found I like savoury flavours more than sweet ones, coffee is a good one if you want something strong, and there are a good few tobacco ones out there. I find the most realistic ones taste horrible, but the ones that taste like unsmoked tobacco smells are quite nice (red label tobacco is good for that). Strength wise, you'll have to work that out yourself and can take a couple weeks to find your balance, but 11 to 18mg are both good starting points.

The tanks do seem to strip a bit of flavour away so I used to mix a bit more flavour into my juice when I had them. The dual coil xl cartomisers give a lot more flavour, but I find I go through loads more juice with them. They are worth a try though, cheap! I did find at the start that I preferred stronger flavours like coffee over the subtle sweet ones.

Thanks for the replies

I looked up dual coils and found a triple

Just wondering if this is all i need or if i need anything else to change to using this with my starter kit, just looking at the pics not sure how these connect to the battery etc, probably a stupid question.

ps. Because it appears to have a male thread showing, whereas the dual coils have a female end for the battery and a mouth piece, pics for the dual are obvious, triple not so much, unless this is the wrong pic used cos it kinda looks like a battery.

*eyebrows raised* hmmmm, I may need a new battery and some of those! The dual coils are pretty tough on batteries so I'd recommend sticking with those unless you want to get a higher voltage battery. I, however, may do just that.

Try some dual coils first. I'm considering going for a VVV variable volt battery mod and trying that on some triples. Standard tornado batts are fine on dual coils, they just lose a bit of throat hot as the battery runs low.

Two things:

1) spec me a new battery for my mega dc cartos, as my ancient tornado batts could do with replacing and I feel like trying something new. Maybe a variable volt mod?

2) where do people get their RY4 flavours? Or do you mix them yourself?

So, I noticed Liberty Flights finally have the Riva batteries back in stock (the black versions anyways, they always had the other colours I think), so I can finally get the starter kit for my mam :). Annoyed that they've reduced the battery size a bit though (750mAh to 650mAh), but it's still a decent battery for the price/size (unless someone knows any better ones? Not interested in the keyring one, and others seem a lot more expensive).

Now the problem I'm having is she wants juice that tastes like cigarettes, or like the disposable e-cigs give. I keep telling her that she'd prefer other flavours, as pretty much everyone who vapes does, but she's having none of it :(. So, any one recommend a flavour that actually tastes like a cigarette, not the smell of the tobacco before burning? Or like the disposable e-cigs if anyone's tried them?

Cheers :).

Realt tabs is quite ashy. Try that

Funny you mention it actually. A friend of mine got some ry4 (titan stuff from TW I think) and I thought it was great. I got home and realised I had some tobacco, caramel and vanilla flavours so I tried to make my own. My tobacco flavour is the kind that smells like unsmoked cigs so I ended up with sweet raisin smell with an overpowering vanilla aftertaste! Not good at all.

I don't want to go back to buying premix but can't find any ry4 flavouring that is any good. Any recommendations?

Still on mega dual coils myself and can't fault them. As long as your battery has the juice to power them anyway

He means, get the kit, and instead of just "quitting" use the e-cig ("vape", short for vapour/vapourize was what he meant to say) as your first option, but if you REALLY want a cigarette, have it. I ended up going straight down to 1 analogue cig a day (my bedtime smoke was always the most important) and after a few weeks that bedtime smoke started to taste so bad that it wasn't hard to cut it out completely. I just found myself preferring my e-cig. The first couple weeks are all adjusting to the nic strength, finding your rhythm etc, then it's all plain sailing.

The tornado tank is a good starter, as it's very straight-forwards (fill tank, take a few dry draws to get it going, then puff away). Recharge overnight and away you go. I do recommend having 2 batteries as a minimum though. You could get by on 1, but 2 is just easier (and less worry!). Hope you get on well with it mate. I'm currently puffing away on a nice coffee and caramel mix I made up.

Totally wicked do kits with the whole lot ready to go. They've got a forum too if you have any other questions more specific to their products

Got a couple of Platinum Tor Tanks on the way, one each for me and the missus!

Quite looking forward to using it :)

Let us know how you're getting on.

I've just ordered some mega tornado batts from TW. My current 3 have served me well for nearly a year, and I think they might be past their best. Dual coil cartos really like a full battery so hoping the megas will be an improvement

Yeah I've stopped using LF a while back... Think generally their prices are a touch high but you do get some bargains....

Whilst I'm here ... my batteries are dying. I'm still vaping 3.7V and was thinking of this

http://www.cloud9vaping.co.uk/epage...d/Products/EGO-T-55XL/SubProducts/EGO-T-55XL-

but am open to suggestions ! Any recommendations ?

Funnily enough, I was in the same boat (3 batts that were over a year old), and just picked up 2 1000mah tornado batts. For some reason I just don't like the button on the Joye batteries. Either way, they're the bees knees. They seem to keep an even voltage longer, and keep going for about 2 days (even though I now spend all day at my desk vaping :p). They are a bit longer, but that doesn't phase me. I've gone from having an e-cig to an e-cigar is all (*esp combined with the mega dc cartos)

Loving the tornado tank so far :)

Got all the makings for DIY mixing coming tomorrow :)

Good man, home made is the best way. Just watch you don't mix it too heavy on the VG side as the tanks don't feed as well with really thick liquids. 50/50 is a good place to start. I used to vape nearly 100%VG with the tanks (still do but with cartomisers) and it was fine, but it's the general consensus that too much VG can cause feed issues with tanks.

Good to hear your feedback! I'm surprised you didn't get on with the dual coil cartos, I switched to them from tanks and haven't gone back. I do use a nearly 100%vg mix (mixed with pg based nic though), so huge vapour, and 18mg is enough to get decent hit too.

The first time you fill them it takes ages to soak through and it's easy to under fill them, which would give poor vapour production. They should look slightly damp at the top and take a few ml to fill. I use the smok ones from ecig wizard and I get a good few weeks out of them before they start to tail off.
