US: The Walking Dead Season 3 (contains spoilers)

The story has been altered quite a bit mostly cutting out the controversial bits, not sure how they are gonna handle a few things that happen between Michonne and the Governor as they are pretty sick in the comic.

Been chasing through the comics the last few weeks and the Governor/Michonne stuff is just ****ed up.
And the body count in the comic version is crazy, not to mention Rick turns into a total badass.

Well I'm all caught up now with S3. I have to say I like Carl now, he is no longer a whiny nuisance kid, he gets stuff done.

The latest UK episode was awesome. Cannot wait to see this develop. Will be interesting to see how they feed the new born. :D

Need to read some more of the comics now.

What was the deal with the thing he was stabbing. It could have been fat or pregnant. I was confused, I thought the kid hadn't shot her and you'd see her, but there is no way she would decompose so quickly, and it didn't look like her. Odd.

That zombie ate Lorrie, that's why it was fat. I don't know where her bones were though. I also thought he was going to find her as a zombie. Was dreading it actually!

Yup as said above, I thought that part would have been quite obvious........ :o

:p

Although as said what on earth happened to the bones....

Good episode, but obviously nowhere as good as the last few! Who on earth was that ringing at the end?!?! And going by the next preview it seems like whoever it is knows about Lori etc. (unless Rick is just blabbing on about it to some random stranger :p)

Love how they seem to have given up on Carol despite finding no body or her gun :D You would think that Daryl would have at least gone looking for her....but it looks like they will begin the search for her in the next episode.

The scene with the governor's daughter was stupid, she should have been trying to attack him from the start, not just after he brushed part of her scalp of.

Episode 6 preview:

EDIT:

Re watched that scene with the fat zombie, looks like the zombie dragged Lori into the other area/room and ate her there and maybe the clothes/bones just aren't shown (doesn't make much sense this though as a zombie is mindless and would just go straight in rather than preparing where he eats from :D :p OR he was too full and couldn't get back up so dragged himself to that spot, but..........there wasn't much blood on his chest/stomach....

Oh yes, ******* yes!

Comic spoiler!
my favourite part of the comic, the goddamn Lori Phone! When it started ringing my brain exploded!

It's running so well with the comic now, round of applause to the writers.

Explain!??!

Is Rick hallucinating the phone ringing etc.?

EDIT:

Massive spoiler about the phone!

had a quick google and it turns out that he is hallucinating the phone!!!! And he thinks it is Lori on the other end. Apparently it is due to his guilt etc. with not saving Lori etc. and supposedly he unplugs the phone from the wall but he still hears Lori's voice and in the comic he carries the phone around with him

That site raised an important point there, Morgan! Hoping to see him again as I liked him in the first season and that site says that he might be in this season as he was supposedly spotted on stage for episode 12 :D
Damn! This show is going to get even more intense if they stick roughly to the comics

I enjoyed the Governor's daughter bit and the zombie fighting; it shows to us/Andrea it isn't the refuge she hoped it was and how unhinged the Governor really is - it can only get worse!

As for the zombie/Lori bit, i too was a bit confused and thought it could have been done much better as that could have been a pivotal moment. I thought it could be Lori as the stomach could have still been fat from just giving birth or it could be a zombie who ate Lori - but surely it would have been better show the savaged Lori's body as i have never seen a zed eat a whole body bones and all! (zombie myth states that once the flesh goes cold/dead then the zed loses interest).

Also, i think i heard Rick shouting "You ate my wife!" - not sure what he was shouting to be honest.

As for the phone, i think it may be a hallucination ie he has a mental snap!

Lastly looking at the comments above, it looks v interesting if you say that with the Rick storyline we haven't seen anything yet - looking forward to that!

OH MY GOD, do they have the ringing phone?

No don't answer that....my head is about to explode, not seen the latest episode, but if they have that, that is epic.

And for those that haven't read the comic, it's something from there and it's good.

I think we can assume that more than 1 zombie had a bit of Lori... its just that one was there and loaded at the time.

Not going to click those spoilers, but im tempted.. this season is nuts.

I don't think that Rick stabbing the 'fat' Zombie had anything to do with it 'eating' Lori, but was a metaphor for his feelings towards the pregnancy and the questionable parentage, it may be a reaction to what he sees as something that got between his and Lori's relationship and was ultimately the reason why she is no longer in his life, a culmination of the frustration we have seen from Rick toward Lori since he found out about her and Shane and her pregnancy and the guilt he feels that he left it too late to reconcile that both within himself and with Lori.

He picks up a bullet imbedded in the concrete floor as well, which implies that Lori might not be as 'dead' as we might think.

Just rewatched that part, was definitely a bullet, you can see the mushroom shape at the end when he holds it, plus he picked it up from the the small hole in the concrete ground.

Just below the "amc"

Looks like a very faint blood stain around there as well.

Also read on another forum that the director Greg Nicotero was on the talking dead show and said "the fat zombie dragged Loris body around the corner and ate her" (hence the blood trail :p), makes no sense why a zombie would drag his "meal" to somewhere else , they are mindless creatures! They don't think, they just attack and want to eat brains!!!

They could have executed that scene much better! Would have had a much larger impact if Rick had found essentially just the bones and clothes of Lori in the same spot where she was left (IMO)

my thoughts exactly - 1/10 must try harder! I found this elsewhere:

Rick does say ATE. MY. WIFE. as he's stabbing. He hovers his hand/knife over as if to just cut first of all - kind of, Lori's "in there" .. but then rages. Rick's face after that is brilliant.

He also finds Carl's bullet clean in a bit of a crater on the floor - Carl just shot into the floor.

You can see the fat zombie with fresh blood around it's mouth and the smearing on the floor where it's dragged itself and then just slumped, stuffed.

Fat zombie did eat her. It was confirmed on The Talking dead. It apparently has her hair in it's teeth.

My view is Carl left her because he couldn't shoot her, then she was found by fat zombie after it heard the gunshot. But even if she was dead, we've seen walkers eat freshly killed humans before. And animals.
