Ok, steam just started downloading 9Gb worth of god knows what.

9 ****ING GIGABYTES!

The entire GAME is only 16!

Same here....annoying also Steam version didn't give us all the movies as promised.

There was a time when everything worked perfectly, though, so I must have done something to affect SecuROM. It could be that you've done something similar. I suggest using the SecuROM removal tool, though there's arguably no point what with the new patch removing SecuROM altogether.

im glad its only going to take me just over 1 hour to get the patch i feel sorry for those people with slow connections

though its weird that the uk steam servers have a 1.8meg cap placed on there servers or i could get it even sooner :/ lol

The patch for my Gog version was only 9mb, must be something to do with the way steam patches games :/

My hopes weren't high tbh

think i will reinstall again. never know what it might do

It's reset the graphics options but not sure what i did before as all the rocks are now low res

Performance is about the same as with 11.5 hotfix for me, the game does start up a lot quicker though.

it actually looks like steam is downloading the full gog version for those on steam, odd way to go about it, but maybe the easiest way to get rid of drm

30-40 fps with ubersampling on and it looks great. Sadly it isn't smooth at all, shame. GPU usage drops too which is odd, see what happens with new profiles.

Dude what app are you running to display GPU temps as well as fps?

i am now thinking that one of the problems i've had is down to somethng my end. As i've said, the key bindings and graphics settins keep resetting themselves, i have noticed that when i quit the game, the launcher is still there and is unresponsive. I wonder if the launcher is crashing for some reason. I have reinstalled the game 3 times and it still happens, so maybe something is clashing with it?

Wouldn't know about controls but the graphics settings issue is the same for me. Unless i keep it at the one system recommends (high) it defaults into low settings =/

20-30 fps increase for me with new patch, games a lot smoother as well.

Yeah thought my FPS was a bit high so it must have reseted to low quality. If you make witcher user file in the config folder read only after you have made your settings then it won't reset them.

Since installing the patch, the gfx are all corrupted. Movie sequences work perfect. Ingame cinema and in game real are all weird and corrupted

One of my best gaming experiences ever, love it and nowhere near the end.

WOAHHHHHH hold on there Raven in liking a game shocker! all we need now is Drunkenmaster to come in and say its the best game ever and i think officialy the world will explode. In fact if i was CDprojekt i would add ravens quote the box! "officialy endorsed by Raven."

Just finished the blood curse mission man that was great fun! hated fighting the wraiths though.

Am i right in saying that if i suded with ioveth the ACT2 would be totaly different? Makes it a good second play through anyway.

I started properly PC gaming in about 2007 and i think this is the best PC game i have played. ME2 is my favourite ever game but this is giving it a run for its money. Well done CDprojekt
