The Witcher 2 - Thread

Is there an exhaustive text list of every bit the Enhanced Edition adds/changes? :o

Also, yeah, I'm definitely having two (Iorveth/Roche) more playthroughs when it releases! :)

Here's the Xbox360-PC comparison

I think CD ProjecktRed did a great job bringing it to the 360.
Sure they had to remove a lot of lighting and textures, but it was expected and still looks good.

I just don't like how the night scene in the begining looks like it's in the afternoon instead.

::Note, the youtube comments are a laugh. I actually had to respond to one haha.
They ran the PC version at 720 as well for the comparison it seems

Got this the other day - I'm impressed by the game but the random crashes to desktop are so disappointing. I've reformatted three times since I've got the game and the issue's still there even with the 3GB memory fix. When I do a Google search for it, it's quite clear to see I'm nowhere near the only one suffering from this inexplicable issue.

I haven't even left Flotsam because of it and I've spent 20 hours or so just reloading the save game over and over again because it crashes without saving.

The enhanced super dooper 2.0 ultimate whatever edition is available to download before Mondays release. Hefty 10GB file that my 2mbps connection has struggled to download over the last two days ¬.¬

Haven't played this for a while, previously got well into the final act but never quite finished the game. Just fired it up and the game prompts me to download 2.1 patch which is over 6 GB! CDProjekt certainly know how to do patches! Patch 2.0 was over 2GB iirc.

I'm assuming this is the new super dooper enhanced version mentioned in dante's post above, must be a lot of new content for that much data! It's great how CDProjekt continue to update and support their games, seems as though they have a genuine passion for providing the best gameplay experience they can possibly muster. Very refreshing in this age of rip off DLC and the like.

Playing this on the 360 at the moment and have to say i think they have done a splendid job of the conversion. Sure, it doesn't look anywhere near as nice as the PC version on high settings, but its certainly still a great looking game.

I managed to pre-load the PC patch a day or so ago, so roll on the 17th as it'll be interesting to see how the PC version compares after the patch.

Have you tried with a single card instead of crossfire?

I had to reinstall windows a few weeks ago and it left me with a windows.old folder, i thought id be clever and just copy over the witcher 2 file and be able to play it, yes im able to play the game however its only from the exe file and i cant load the launcher or the config to change some settings, i dont suppose theres a way of getting them to load like adding some text in the ini file or such, or am i going to need to reinstall the game and redownload all the patches and mods again?

Yay, finally time to play the game! Every time I decided to start there seemed to be an enhancement patch around the corner :)
