The Witcher 2 - Thread

I think it's just you, it was only recently released really, it adds about 4 more hours of gameplay, plenty of cinematics, quests and fixes. it also finally adds some content explaining what happened to Shani in the first game.

There's also the Dark difficulty which is harder than hard apparently, not noticed it so far.
It also includes some new items on that setting.

Ah ok, thanks for the info:)

When I finish the Witcher 1 and start on this... is it worth playing dark difficulty? I've been playing Grimrock and it's reminded me of the joy of playing a hard game...

Is dark difficulty possible for someone who hasn't played the game through already?

I don't see why not, I played the game on hard when it came out and found it too easy.

Dark is very fun, although I found the oddest bug. Its extremely annoying, my saves aren't saving. I was well into Flotsam, died and now I'm back at the end of the Prologue..

the kayran boss is doing my head in 100 times ive treid , I really must suck ;( so want to move on are the other boss fights hard like this , or maybe just give up lol .

Really wanting to get this game now but have a question. I just looked on Play and they have the Enchanced Edition for £39.99 but are also selling version 2.0 dor £11.99. Can I just buy the 2.0 version, input the CD key to steam and upgrade to enchanced for free?

All updates/DLC on the PC are free so yeah no matter what version you get you will get all the updates/DLC via download on the games launcher.

Anyone else using the steam version and constantly needs to reinstall .Net Framework before the game launches?

It's so bloody annoying. I've uninstalled it, reinstalled in manually and updated it. yet it keeps on reinstalling after I launch the game through steam.

If I buy "The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings - Version 2.0" will I get the latest up to date release for the game? Its currently £11.99, where as the new version is £39.99, which seems too good to be true!

edit: seems yes you can as per previous post!
