Finally!

Been waiting on this patch before playing.

If I install the game from disc, and not through steam, does it have an auto patch feature, which will patch game to 1.3?

Downloaded the patch from the website, tried to launch the game and Norton deleted the launcher.exe file, lol.

Wonder how it will work with the panel mod i have which does some of the stuff that the new patch does.

I am just hoping this patch will use the new steam update feature

If not then I will have to wait another day for 9gb to be downloaded :/

what about my aspect ratio? it's halfway between 16:9 and 16:10 so i'm not sure how it will react. hopefully it will act as 16:10 and fill in any gaps.

well as much as I loved this game at first on chapter 2 i find myself now gettign slightly bored...espcailly when on quests and cant find people they are not at the yellow marks and such....

launcher is totally broken with this update. options screen flashes up and then the launcher minimises never to maximise. does not cater for my eyefinity portrait res of 3240x1920 - still leaves black bars.

Steam update has just come out and it seems like the new update function is in working order it was only 112mb!

Really not happy here. I rebuild my windows build last night and have spent the last hours downloading and installing the Witcher 2 again. I saved my save games folder to another partition and have placed it in my docs folder. Now only my older saves are showing up ! None of my new ones from the 2nd play though. Any ideas on how the fix this. Can't be bothered playing all through the game again

Installed the patch on my GOG version today, everything working flawlessly, no black bars on 1920*1200, performance same as before, x360pad works flawlessly, the feature of playing videos in menu is awesome, so is junk tab and storage chest additions. Awesome work CDPR.

Meh, why do they release a 16:10 patch just as I complete the game!

Suppose I'll have to play through again at some point (after DS3 of course

Isn't there a switch character button which switches between saves, or am I thinking of another game?

I have the retail version and installed it yesterday. I don't know which patch version I am running, can someone tell me how to check which version I am on?

Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\The Witcher 2\bin" and right-click the witcher2.exe. The "File Version" of the .exe under the "Details" tab will tell you what patch you're running. I applied the v1.3 patch (latest) yesterday and mine says "1.3.6720.47945".

Blargh, can't register my retail copy on Steam. It's possible, but my version is lacking two numbers "xx-" at the beginning of the code

Would've went straight for the Steam version if the standard boxed edition didn't come with so many goodies, oh well

Yeah had the same problem, I think only the Russian retail copies could be activated on Steam.

ive heard the is some DLC, with the patch, ive finished the game, so how do i acccess the new content?

mine says 1.1.6157.43917

so i presume I am on 1.1

If I try to use either the 1.2 -> 1.3 patch

or the 0 -> 1.3 patch

I get an error message saying "installed version of the game is invalid or incomplete."
