The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

This could have been a 9 out of 10 game but given the problems of loot being useless and quest levels being all over the place and numerous annoying clunkyness its struggling to get a 7/10 for me.

I'm level 32, and I still get new quests pop up when I revisit an area. Only issue is they're level 13 and the like. Would be nice if they scaled up.

Plus I have so much money, there's nothing to spend it on. I just drop most of the weapons and armour I find because I've bankrupt all the merchents.

Still a fantastic game, and easily the best RPG I've played since the Baldur's Gate series for me.
They just really need to fix these game issues, and bugs. Especially this random crash to desktop stuff.

Have just left Skellige and am level 20, will have to push up the difficulty as like most have said already the challenge really drops off unless on the higher difficulties.

It would be great if I could stop myself from playing until the Enhanced Edition comes out. :P

Patch downloading via GOG! 500MB+ I would guess. Started downloading as I was playing the game, only noticed as I have a network widget on another screen.

Hope it hasn't borked it!

****ing messed up my sweetfx config again! Is this going to happen every time there's a patch!?

No performance improvements whatsoever that I can detect either.

Getting massively ****ed off with PC gaming at the moment. Nvidia drivers just crashed, AGAIN, and this game just does not run as it should at all on 780Ti SLI.

To be fair about the loot problem. I am atm wearing superior Feline gear, and tbh i have recently found 2 pieces of armour better than it, one from killings monster and one from a chest in a fort....one piece was heavy though. I am currently wearing a pair of Assassin gloves found though as they are better than any of the crafted gear.

Great so the new patch now screwed with my graphics it was silky smooth no tearing.... now when running around i notice a lot of tearing on the screen when i didn't have that before and fps is still the same.. settings are the same too.. no mods no edits :/

nvm found the problem monitor went to 60hz instead of 144 all fixed! :D

Cheers bud, but the SLI performance is even worse/ non existent in Witcher 3 with ANY other drivers apart from these buggy 353.xx series.

Believe me, I've tried em all, and even tried exporting SLI profiles from 353.xx and into other drivers using Inspector. Still no good.

Also, I don't crash in any games, only display stopped responding Kernel crash on the desktop. Moving a window to a second screen just did it! Amazing work Nvidia.

So nice to have smooth camera movement. My games been 100% stable since I installed at 1.04 and I had not encountered the XP bug, but it nice to know its been fixed, in case it reared its head further along.

I'm using the Hunters Config tool to manage my SweetFX profile and it did stop working after the patch, but uninstalling and then reinstalling SweetFX got it running again.

Power efficient drivers for gaming conventions and cafe gaming set ups ;)

And yes they work just as good if not better than standard desktop drivers. Hell atleast they don't give driver has stopped responding unlike the 353's in chrome

Work great in The Witcher 3

It should be a recommendation to play through as a swordplay based character first time. I can't be sure about that because I went the signs path. Where for signs griffin armour provides a flat + sign intensity bonus which effects all signs, 99% of other armour in the game at best effects one or two signs and even most of them are lower amounts anyway.

With feline armour IIRC it's just + attack power, and other armour also offers + attack power. So to a degree with a signs based build the griffin armour is entirely unmatched where other builds may have slightly less overpowered sets.

Without playing through again now(and I won't probably till there is hopefully a LOT of levelling fixes) with a sword based character, I suspect that it's still too easy but just less absolutely ludicrously overpowered than a signs build.
