The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Yup all DLC is free. You just need to pay it for nothing to activate it.

Only thing that costs money is the expansion pass. Which adds two new campaigns later.30+ hours apparently.

I just Downloaded the Free DLC Program, and it has added:

  • Temerian Armor Set
  • Beard and Hairstyle Set for Geralt
  • New Quest - Contract: Missing Miners
  • Alternative Look for Yennefer
  • Nilfgaardian Armor set
  • New Quest - Fool's Gold
  • Ballad Heroes - Neutral Gwent Card Set
  • Crossbow set - three new crossbows

At work the website is the US version. Is this what you guys got when you 'bought' the free DLC program?

So far yes, there's another 8 free DLC released 2 at a time every tuesday...

I'm pretty sure your right though - once you have crafted the base item using the required ingredients, whenever you meditate, it re-fills them using alcohol, no need to get all the ingredients again (this is so you don't have to hunt down ingredients every time you just want to use a single bomb, would be quite annoying.)

Also I'm very glad the game has sold 4 mil units! That's quite an achievement from such humble, yet talented developers.

The part that really annoys me is that is seems to intentionally use a rare alcohol over the basic crappy ones. So instead of using 1 of the millions of Alcoholests I have available it instead prioritizes using Makhamman Spirit!

I'm on the latest 1.05 version of the game and it hasn't put dxd11.DLL files in the x64 folder. I've just dumped the sweetFx files back in and it appears to be working fine.

can someone please explain why the hell in the patch notes it mentions they are fixing an exploit where you can kill cows and get loads of money ?

As fare as I am aware this game is offline and only 1 player right ? So why the hell does it matter if someone wants to get loads of money in the game lol ? it makes no sense in fixing this ! If the game was online then I would 100% understand the needing to patch it but a single player patch to stop exploints makes no sense at all in my book !

It's not the way the game was designed. Lots of games where you have to earn money to upgrade would see this sort of thing as an economy breaking bug. You might as well get a trainer hack and simply give yourself infinite cash.

It's not so much that they fixed it, it's more in what they did to dissuade people from murdering cows - the Bovine Defence Force are not to be trifled with :D

There are a couple of cow sectors in Marvel Heroes, and they are apparently some kind of Diablo-related joke/homage. Cows are the new toilet flush Duke Nukem joke.

The quests in this are very impressive - they chain together fantastically and even the side quests really draw you in. Working my way through the one where you get given that lamp and go to the island - it is absolutely brilliant, both the story and the voice acting...and so much choice throughout!

I finally finished it. 109 hours.

I loved it. Especially my ending, and the sequences of events that lead to it. For me the Witcher series; although having started extremely rocky with the first game has surpassed the Baldur's Gate series as my favourite RPGs.

I feel rather sad that's it's over now. I do hope the new DLC quests will cater to high level players a bit, and that the expansions live up to this brilliant game.

The bar has been raised. Future RPGs have a lot to live up to and surpass.

Not up for playing it again?

I'm trying to take my time and hold back on the main quests. Could those that have completed let me know roughly how far along I am on the main story?
I have to round up my mates to defend the witcher castle. Just got the skelly ones remaining

Hoping for someone to tell me I have loads left :)

You're

2/3 of the way really. Depending on some secondary quests you did up until there, they'd either have branched out further or ended when it comes to secondary content. I still got about 30 hours in after Kaer Morhen.

All these people finishing the game and I'm 60 hours in and have only just started the quests in Novigrad (finished most things in Velen except for a few high level contracts I'll return to later)!

Well took me over 100 hours, and I explored all the markers, and went everywhere to even find extra little caves and monster dens. Still a good bit to do also.

Might bother with horse racing, bare knuckle boxing, and silly gwent now.
