The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Finished the game after I think 110 hours play time. Came across a bug near the end where it says I failed a mission but then it played out that I had completed it so hopefully that gets patched soon.

All in all though it's an absolutely fantastic game that's made me realise I can't go back to playing Dragon Age Inquisition, Origins is a different matter but any rpg after that just pales in comparison; which is kind of weird as I feel this is a better adventure game than an rpg.

Anyway I can't wait for the expansions now!

As much as I'm enjoying this, I do hate all the decision making. I realise its one of the great aspects of the game, but it's just so damn hard! Just me?

I can't say I agonised over many of them. Mostly, I just picked a choice randomly as there wasn't any time to even consider what impact the choice would have.

The mission where you collect the black pearl is still bugged (not sure if it was in 1.06 as well). You have to collect the pearl before you do the mission as the ex-soldier gets killed before you get back to him.

Definitely play Dragon Age first, I couldn't play DA after playing this, for me it massively highlights all the faults with DA which at the time I thought were just minor, after playing the witcher you see how they could have avoided all of the minor niggles.

Ahhh, you see, I take DA:I into a different type of RPG, it's not very heavy on the story, but I enjoy the combat on my rogue and the landscapes. So, I'll keep playing it along side Witcher 3.

Anyway, those that have completed, can you see my above spoiler question and reply?

Thanks

I do think of Dragon Age as a completely separate type of rpg but it always felt a little hollow to me. Nothing like Origins at all and no depth to it.

So far you're searching for Ciri, you found out she was on Skellige but had to flee as the Wild Hunt appeared and slaughtered everyone in the village.
She managed to get away with that high elf dude but somehow they got split up and I think that's where you are now.

Ahhh, that's it, forgot about the village.

Cheers buddy.

Am I still very early on in the story?

Yes. Still early ish. Without spoiling,
once you get to around Brother's in Arms you're almost at halfway. The pace of the game shifts after that rather dramatically; although you can still go and wander off doing your own thing.

Trouble is I end up trying to decide, then possibly reloading and changing my decision. Think I just need to give it far less thought, its just a game! :)

Cool, being level 7, I will likely progress a little further doing side missions, then push to get to Novigrad. Then spend time working away doing the '?'s

There is a lot more content already available if you completed the game in only 110 hours.

Like what? I've done all the sidequests and dlc. The only 2 which I can't complete are the ones that are bugged right now.
There's no question marks or anything outstanding so yeah I look forward to more content.

Oh yeah, you should also go and explore more now, as many new quests and areas open up if you explore.

For instance clearing some bandit camps will have the population return, opening up new small settlements. The same for rescuing captured people.

I was level 28 by the time I got to the above spoilered area, even though it's recommended level was around level 20.

One of the advantages of playing on DeathMarch is you can still get rekt by enemies if you're silly.

Just got around to installing this game but having some problems with 7950 crossfire at 1440p.

Got the game running with high settings and I am getting 60 fps with GPU usage on both cards in the 70s.
The weird thing is that as soon as I enter combat both GPU’s drop into the 50’s and my FPS goes to about 35 which is unplayable. The FPS drops only happen when I start combat and the amount of enemies no difference. As soon as I exit combat it goes back to 60 FPS.

I am running Windows 8.1 and have tried Witcher patch 1.06 and 1.07 and both behave the same. Also running 15.7 Catalyst drivers.

Anyone know what’s causing the GPU’s to behave like this? Not had any problems with xfire before.

Couldn't agree more about Death March. Couldn't play this on any other setting now I've played it on the 'proper' setting. They should have done a DS and stuc it as DM as default and left it on that only.

Makes the game so much better and true to what Geralt really is.

One gripe I have, is bag space, I never sell ANYTHING, as a result. I'm always maxed. I just break everything down at the smith in the expectation I'll need the mats at some point. If anyone knows of a mod to remove storage space restriction, that'd be great, I do it for all RPG's.

In a way I wish I'd spent less time going around investigating lots of ?'s. I'm only lvl15 but have levelled above the level for the main quests I'm on. DeathMarch keeps it challenging anyway but I wish I gained experience a bit slower. I guess in a lot of games I'd just ignore more secondary quests, but they're just so damn good in this game!
