The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

PC every time for me, but would look great on a Plasma. HDMI to UTP adaptor?

Oh cool never read about this before. But i think it won't work in my case as you would use this with an ethernet long cable which practically is the same deal as if i had a long hdmi cable. My pc is plugged on a wireless netgear wifi extender and the router is downstairs unfortunately. Could i do it through the bridge and have the output from the downstairs router?

PC version is better, but plasma is awesome, I played TW3 on PC with 970 connected to 55" panasonic. If I was you I would bring the PC to TV :)

Yeah i used to have pc and tv on same room on previous house, but new gaming room and gaming desk in new house cannot have pc and tv together unfortunately.

I have my PC going to my amp, which then splits to both my 24" monitor or 50" plasma...

And this game, from a 980ti, at 1080p on a plasma is just... So many jaw dropping moments. Stunning.

360 controller helps as well haha. Not to mention, my cinema setup so the surround sound is just sublime. Specially in wooded areas, the creaking and cracking of wood is just something else.

No, these adaptors are purely physical, they don't encode HDMI onto an Ethernet network (although you can do that, albeit not affordably!).

Just mentioned because it's much easier to run a couple of lengths of CAT5e or a single CAT6 than an HDMI cable.

Yeah definitelly makes sense to use the ethernet option Instead of a long hdmi.i just wish there was a wireless way that does the job properly and doesnt cost as much as another pc.Oh well i will probably drag the pc downstairs for this game after all ill play it on a controller any way.

Very pleased about the announcement, finished the game and it feels quite empty, so will be quite happy to replay on death march with NG+, see what quests I skipped / missed without feeling under powered.

Lots of people whining about it on the forums though, ungrateful *****.

I feel the Free DLC serves as good post release promotion for the game and I think that was always part of the sales strategy for the game.

For example if you go over to the front page of IGN right now there's an article about the NG+ update "THE WITCHER 3 IS GETTING A NEW GAME PLUS MODE", with an accompanying news video and everything. This seems like a great way to promote a game post release, keep momentum flowing on the wire!.

On another note, I came across this bug with a merchant in Skellige:

hope he wasn't selling anything awesome!

Just getting stuck into Skellige quests and done a few treasure hunts. Level 22, 121 hours in. This has beaten my Skyrim hours played and about to beat my Borderlands 1 time.

Came across a bug and can't continue with this quest... Supposed to kill a werewolf on Skelleg, all he does now is growl and hit the ground. Even pushed him aside till he's knocked over dead and I can still hear the growling

Sadly that's a well known bug introduced with patch 1.07.

They're looking into it, and only said they're already hard at work on the next patch.

They also said NG+ isn't coming very soon, so they'll probably patch the game first.

Story question time!

Note, I am ok with minor spoilers, but for the most part I'd like to keep it under wraps as I'm enjoying it.

However, sadly, personal life has stopped me playing this continually which has resulted in me being a bit lost in the story. I'm not far. Last night, I finished that quest with Kiera where you fight off little buggers coming out of the 3 portals, then finally one of the dark spawn.

It was a fun mission, I liked the dialogue between Kiera and Geralt, but I'm a bit lost in what's happened so far?

I'm looking for Whats her face, and whilst doing so, she has summoned me to the king who has asked I find Ciri, it turns out she was working with some high elf dude?

Thanks

As much as I'm enjoying this, I do hate all the decision making. I realise its one of the great aspects of the game, but it's just so damn hard! Just me?
