The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

What on EARTH!!!!

This game, I feel it has a lot of treats in store for me. I just got to Oxenfurt and the town feels so alive, so much nicer than another 'village' which were starting to look the same all the time.

Wow!!! Now I really, REALLY want to see Novigrad.

One, teeny, tiny little complaint. I've no incentive to talk to people, as no one has dialogue. Only marked characters on the minimap and map.

Wish sometimes you could pick up quests and stuff just by overhearing people... "damn spooky business down by the lake". To which, you then approach said peasant, he says "Well, go talk to the smith, he had a close encounter"... Makes the game feel a little bit more alive and warmer.

Not just running around keeping my eye on the mini map.

You're in for a surprise! I've came across 2 quests like that. Actually that's not many for a game this size lol.

I really hope they fix some of the bugs that stop you completing quests, genuinely irritates me I have those 2 quests outstanding.

Like what? I've done all the sidequests and dlc. The only 2 which I can't complete are the ones that are bugged right now.
There's no question marks or anything outstanding so yeah I look forward to more content.

Seriously ? All ? I'm sitting at about 90 hrs played in the game and have loads more content to do. A lot of the points of interest don't appear on the game map until you unlock them by stumbling across them, reading about them etc ...

I think if you power through the main quests you can certainly do the game in say 60-70 hrs, but to do all the content without skipping through dialogue and cutscenes could take 200 hrs + I'd imagine.

By the time I was half way through the main story I had already done all the question marks on Velen with the only thing outstanding is a ghost lamp thing at the bottom of the map which I can't get rid off.
Even the quests I have outstanding (which is only 1 actually) Missing In Skellige I'm at the very end of but can't complete due to the bug.
I want NG+ mode now :(
I think 200+ is an over estimate unless you're literally taking screenshots or walking on foot everywhere you go.

That's the thing though ... if you only quick travel everywhere you will miss loads of content. There is no way someone could do all the content in this game in just 110 hours. I'm convinced there is a ton of stuff you haven't stumbled upon ( and a lot of stuff you have done ! ).

As long as they take their time with it and release it when it's ready as they did with the Witcher 3, then it will no doubt be game of the year. (Again)

Witcher 2 was released over 4 years ago - there was a few issues with the PC version that was fix quickly. 4 years later Witcher 3 - had issues on the PC; mostly fix; but I have faith in CD they will fix it.

Engine will need a little work that was used in Witcher 3 - but most of its there; and honestly I'm hoping not for gameworks; but tress FX in cyberpunk 2077 would be awesome.

My guess is about this time next year for it - a lot of assets will have to be build; but a lot can be used already; and we know just how good the writers can be at CD :)

lol just because I don't walk on foot everywhere doesn't mean I quick travel, I use the horse :)

Anyway I'm well aware of all the stuff I've done and it would be more helpful to suggest things I've missed rather than just keep repeating that I can't possibly be finished everything in 110 hours.

How can I possibly know what you've not done unless you provide a screen-cap of your in-game maps ? Regardless, I still doubt you've done it all. Anyway, not my responsibility to help you get more out of this game ... I'm sure you've already enjoyed what you've played thus far.

What type of AA does this game use? I am getting a bit sad about the jaggies on the vegetation. Might try and force some through NVCP.

Edit: Nvm, it's own, no chance of forcing a better version. Oh well.

We'll agree to disagree as you don't know what I've done and I know what I have, but you're absolutely right I've enjoyed the game from beginning to end; so much so I'm probably going to replay it as soon as NG+ comes out :)

Managed to go back and complete the last mission after that small 24mb patch which fixed Missing in Skellige for me :D

I've been leaving Relic spawns as much as possible, but RNGesus on some of them is irritating.

Do they re-level later or am just being pointlessly pedantic?

I guess i should play Dragon Age first then? Just finished downloading both

I finished Witcher 3 month and a half ago, 200 hour playthrough.

I tried to play Dragon Age 3 a week ago.

I quit after 2 hours and uninstalled it.

It is so...empty. Vapid. Generic. The intro was another generic fantasy rehash of "evil invading through oblivion gates! You are the chosen one with neon light, errm, mark, on your hand! We do not know you but will follow you because reasons!"

And when I got through the terrible intro and arrived at first main area of the game (Hinterlands) and saw the quests there (bring X this, kill Y that), I just couldn't take it. Not after Witcher 3.

I have my PC going to my amp, which then splits to both my 24" monitor or 50" plasma...

And this game, from a 980ti, at 1080p on a plasma is just... So many jaw dropping moments. Stunning.

360 controller helps as well haha. Not to mention, my cinema setup so the surround sound is just sublime. Specially in wooded areas, the creaking and cracking of wood is just something else.

You haven't seen anything yet.
But yeah on ultra, 1080p, on large plasma, at 60fps, it is utterly sublime experience. Best game I have ever played. So many amazing quests and moments. Witcher 3 has pretty much no filler, whereas Ubisoft games or DA3 is chock full of it.
