Wow this isn't good - major problems with this patch. I can't launch my game anymore due to missing dlc.

They have merged all the dlc into one box on gog so I'm d/l now to see if I can launch it. Otherwise it's roll-back time i guess.

how come my GOG patch was 17Gb & someone said Steam patch is just 6.4Gb

My GOG patch was also 17GB. I guess Steam just handles the update process better. Better compression maybe.

All the free DLC in 1 now. At least there is option inside of the game to turn off the alternative looks for the female characters. Always annoyed me when the pre-rendered and in game cut scenes didn't match

Because Steam heavily compress downloads and then uncompress them once they are downloaded, it's the best thing about the service IMO. Phantom Pain was only 7GB IIRC and is a 22GB installl.

I've just purchased a GOG key for the main game as I couldn't bring myself to spend €60 on steam.

I now have to look forward to a 34gb download on a 2mb connection... hope it contains all patches and free dlc too.

If it is anything like previous patches, it might include all downloads in the size?... I'm pretty sure iirc that is what it did previously on GOG?
