The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Just completed the main quest line :)

Got the ending where ciri lives, becomes a witcher and geralt and yennefer go and live the quiet life. Pretty pleased with that :) Not the best ending for the game world, but the best ending for me personally.

Just spent 3 sick days playing this game and i can't stop thinking about it! Took a game because i have the original Witcher game but NEVER COMPLETED it as i simply couldn't get in to it. This one however is amazing!

Also, not played much in the way of 3rd person games so am finding the keyboard and mouse action a bit awkward (rolling into dead-ends etc while trying to escape something) - is combat etc a bit easier with a 360 gamepad?

Any tips appreciated - I really want to get into this! :)

I use the xbox 360 controller as i found this is much easier to control in battles etc and the quick action buttons came in useful especially when I'm about to die often lol

You chose Yennifer? Ew. :(

My wife is well aware that i have a thing for Kate Beckinsale, and yennefer reminds me of Kate Beckinsale :p and triss has an irritating voice, Plus yennefer a horny shedevil, my kind of woman haha.

Just purchased the DLC now that the main game is done, enjoying it so far. Ploughed 25,000 gold into the rune bloke so far, not feeling like it was worth it so far though. Love the expansion to the east, some enemies getting harder is nice after having such an easy time of it towards the end of the main game.

Everyone knows Yennefer is the best. Sapkowski, the original novel author knows it, Tomaszkiewicz, the Witcher 3 game director knows it, mrbios knows it, I know it.

:)

Really excited about Blood & Wine now, can't be far off?

Some quotes from recent dev interview, I know they are trying to sell more copies if they think it's better than the main game then wow..

Szamalek says that the experience and feedback received since The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt released last year has helped the team at CD Projekt Red achieve something even better than the main game.

Szamalek points out the Wild Hunt's lack of a charismatic enemy, saying they've made a unique and memorable opponent for Blood and Wine. He also mentions that they've created a complex story that they believe players will appreciate.

"Blood and Wine, a 20-hour tale that will introduce the all-new in-game region of Toussaint, will take Geralt to a land untainted by war, where an atmosphere of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual masks an ancient, bloody secret."

The thing is I only have a few mods and none of them affect Oil

This stands as the best game I have played in a long while. Since Mass Effect 3 to be honest. I generally only play storydriven, dialogue heavy games that offer the likelihood of emotional investment, to some degree. The Witcher 3 ticked all the boxes and some.

My absolute only regret (I'm relectant to use the word complaint as I brought this on myself), is that my relentless pursuit of every romanceable female in the game has led me to receive what could be considered the "bad" ending. As a completionist, I'm not sure if I want to go back 50+ hours to correct the error of my womanizing ways.

As for those struggling with the Yenefer or Triss dilema: Cosplay is the answer:

One problem i had with the game is i would find the talents not that appealing to spend the points on, i remember often having 5+ points saved up as i just didnt get a feeling of what i should spend them on to be beneficial, will replay one day and try a different approach
