The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Can anyone remember what price the first DLC was, Hearts of Stone was ? Or was it 9.99 Euro from day one ? Just wondering if it is worth buying the Expansion Pass or not.

I think its always been that price. I think Blood and Wine will be a little more expensive as it's a bigger expansion it seems so you save a little with the expansion pass. Not a great deal, but it's worth it anyway. Hearts of Stone was quality.

Finished the main story yesterday. Still have a few side quests and lots of contracts left. Took me 70 hours. I will be starting the expansion today.

I have to say that this is hands down the best single player game I have ever played. I just didn't want to it to end. I can't wait to start the expansion. I've heard that it is about 15 hours of gametime, is this correct? Also, any news on the 2nd expansion and it's release date?

I tried and looked at Nexus but can't seem to find what I was looking for. I am using FriendlyHud which has Item Sorting as well, but what I really would like to find is a mod that actually sort the item correctly, i.e. say you have 246 Dwarven Spirit in your backpack, when opening the tab where they are they are in 3 different locations. What I was hoping to find is a mod that sort out anything that takes up 2 or more slots, gets sorted next to each other and not all over the place. And yes, I have tried the different sort functions in the inventory, they still not next to each other. :p Does anyone know if there is such a mod around ??

Secondly, since more or less about same thing. Is there a mod that make the mutagen stackable ? Having the lesser green and blue one all over the place is also a bit messy. :o

Thanks, I bought the Expansion Pass yesterday, pretty sure I be playing through the entire game so thought why not. :)

anyone else had performance dops with the latest patch??

seen it drop to as low as 55fps now (980ti, max, Hw off)

never seen it drop that low before prior to the latest patch (DRM free version)

I get a drop here and there and I have everything max, HW fully on with 2x AA. On a 980ti. I'll check tonight if you like, not played in a couple of weeks.

What level do you need to be to play the expansions? I'm currently level 14 and am working through the story in Novigrad. Still time to buy it?

Is there just those 2 dlcs in the season pass or any more planned?

level 32 for hearts and stones.

there is only two expansions packs that have been announced so far.

I am playing with the mod that removes level restrictions for items. It makes so much more sense than the base game. Now if I kill a monster of a higher level I can actually use the rewards I get!

I am level 12 and am using a level 34 steel sword... You might think this is unbalancing the game, but far from it. It is much better now. Now the lowly peasants that can somehow kill the legendary Geralt in one shot with a wooden stick, don't have to be hacked at 5 times with a sword, you can kill them in one or two. It makes so much more sense than before!... Human enemies already have the ability to block, so fights aren't much different, just more satisfying! And Geralt actually seems like a decebt fighter as opposed to the chump he is normally.

The two things I am looking for now are removing fall damage, and re balancing fist fights. Any ideas? Geralt shouldn't be killed(yes killed!) from being punched 5 times by some no-mark!

I enjoy finding a new sword thats a few points better than my current one. Not sure i'd like to just use the best swords at a lower level as it would remove the fun of looting for me. I know what you mean though, I had to fight a bunch of peasants and had to use a few healing items early on in the game.

One mod or setting i'd like is to be able to stop the cursor from stalling when it hits an icon on the map. Moving the cursor from one end of the map to the other with the pad is a PITA.

I enjoy it too, and it hasn't changed it tbh. I am still finding new gear... Those rusty swords you loot thousands of were never used anyway!... Plus everyone always goes for the witcher gear. I just this minute picked up a sword I am going to now use. It does less damage, but has better buffs.

I'm only doing crafting for Witcher gear. Most of the higher level stuff is already naturally gated off anyway by having high level ingredients(for example, I have a plan for a level 34 sowed, but can't make it until I kill the ice giant, which is quite a way in). No idea why they felt the need to add level restrictions as well!

Amatsubu - you can just do the Hearts of Stone expansion solo if you want. It creates a level 32 (I think) character for you to just pick up and play. You don't even have to have completed the main story originally to do this - a great feature. Hearts of Stone is also a great little expansion, loved that story.

I know but I just wanted to do it as a part of the story with my own build etc. and the carry on with the game. Basically, treat it like a big side quest.

980 ti, everything max, even with tweaked ini files for extra eye candy. And still a solid 60fps. Only time it ever dips is if fighting a large pack of wolfs, specially in rain as I have HW on and with 2xAA.

So yea, not sure.

Pretth sure you can if you like. I wouldn't personally as you're just going to over level yourself for the main quest line. What's the rush?

I don't really care about overlevelling, the game's a pretty crap rpg anyways and has some serious balancing issues so I'm already overlevelled. I play it because the quests are quite nice and I started to enjoy just roaming the world again after stopping playing for a couple of months. That's why I want to get the expansion pass but I think I'll wait until I reach level 30 and can actually play Hearts of Stone (currently 24 and around 3/4 through the story).

There's no rush, I simply want to tackle the expansion before fininshing the main storyline.

Thanks for the info:)

Was doing a quest at Skellige and I think I would have broked something if I hadn't reloaded. The quest in question was The Lord of Undvik one. Had a Scavanger Quest just before the main Island and at that present location my map looked like this.

I thought I be cleaver though and do the Wolf School Gear and Master Armorers Quests first. So first I went to Marlin Coast but couldn't get over the broken bridge to continue towards the Wolf Gear so went back and took the boat, seeing if I could go there the back way, found a Signpost mark, Gull Point, where I went off and managed to climb up the back.

But first when I arrived at Marlin Coast, the Lord of Undvik Quest moved from it's starting position across the map, which I found a bit strange to start with. But I continued anyway. As I climbed up the back way, I arrived at a Tower then went down to collect the Wolf Gear, no problem so far (The blue lines on the map). I countinued into the village to take the road towards the Master Armorer Quest and that's when I bumped into someone I am pretty sure I shouldn't meet quiet yet !! So after that brief meeting I reloaded to latest safe and continued around the village, a while later I went back and restarted my game where I first arrived at the first screeny. I just had a felling I might be breaking stuff if I had continued. :o

Then after having completed it, starting from the first location marker of the Lord of Undvik quest I am pretty sure I would have messed up things if I hadn't. Considering there was some interesting meetings along the way when I did it the proper way. :o  Which someone of you might confirm for me, just out of curiosity ?? :p
