Yeah I was shaking my head when Livingstone (Livinglegend, more like) announced Fallout 4 as winner. Such a nice lineup of games (although Bloodborne, SOMA and Dying Light were missing, I would easily nominate those for GOTY as well) and it had to go to that bethesdic mediocrity.

The show itself was great though. No cringe, funny, classy.
 
Whut, loads of quests were samey, all the contract quests were just the same with a smattering of filler conversation, treasure hunts, scav hunts, crappy near pointless ? locations.
 
I purchased Witcher 3 on DVD some time ago now, but was put off from installing it by the size of the revisions or upgrades I would then have to install, which would have taken forever over my 1.5 MB/s so called broadband connection.

However in a week's time it should be upgraded to 'Infinity', and BT have promised me a minimum download speed of 35 MB/s which should help a lot! :)

Is there anything additional I should watch out for when I do come to finally install and update it?

That's fine. I highly disagree, though. Elder Scrolls games have had some of the most memorable quests of any games for me.

I'd say that the quality of quests in TW3 is higher in terms of consistency, though. They put a decent amount of effort into not having many throwaway quests, which is great.
 
decided to fire this up after not playing it for a few months only to realise ive lost my save file, might leave it now until the new dlc is out and then do a full play through

Do we know yet when this expansion pack is due to be released for the PC though?
 
I kind of wished they allowed you to play Gwent online against other players or something. Only the Gwent part, would have been pretty cool against human players.
 
Can be wtf initially with Gwent but keep at it for a few rounds and you get the hang of it quick. Eventually wil be trying to find every player to win the rare cards off them :p
