The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

You're not running the 528.02 driver by any chance?

They introduced stutter to the game, went back to 527.56, and stutter free again.
I've tried with whichever driver that was out when it released last month and also the most recent, no difference between either for me.

I've been tinkering and trying to get it working since the day the next gen version released but there is always a visible hitch/stutter even though the FPS doesn't report any drops.

Have you downloaded the 2 hot fix patches?
Of course :)

Thing is, I know i'm not alone in this as showcased here and many other sites/forums, it's a widespread issue so at the moment i'm content to wait and see if they sort out a patch that deals with it.

Literally the only thing I haven't tried is a W11 upgrade.

So is this quest bugged or is it just me? Philippa's Hideout, I need to activate the portal, geralt said a sign should kickstart it and youtube videos show it working with a blast, I try it and... nothing?!

Is there a previous empty crystal thing that you’ve missed and need to place before you can activate the one in your video?

Tell you something, frame generation is incredible and propels this with full ray tracing ultra+ hairworks on to over 100 FPS... magic it is.

Yeh but frame generation is a cover for badly performing games. Pretty much every game so far that has DLSS 3.0 is a pile of perfoming cack without it

Witcher 3 performs very well without RT on and DLSS FG is great here for keeping the frames high if you want the RT on. Of course it comes with a latency penalty but it's not that big of a deal here especially if you use a controller. :)

For the next few years I reckon frame generation is going to be used as a crutch for badly coded and optimised games. Not a good place to be.

A cynical person could also think it's a racket between the GPU makers and the game devs.

I got to agree. I've only briefly tested in other games so the jury is still out. But, 70hrs in Witcher 3 and I have been really impressed with frame gen.
