Work's Christmas lunch was yesterday. I just had "one" red wine but they must have topped it up 4 or 5 times. Plus an espresso martini and another wine next door after... Then got called home to see my girlfriend off before surgery. Feeling quite smug with my mild tiredness today, usually the Christmas do is where I throw up and lose things :D
 
EA customer support chat: Estimated wait time 70 mins. Got through to someone in 30 seconds. Issue resolved within 5 min. Chuffed. Guy wished me a Happy Holiday and gave me 1 month EA Access for my troubles.

Genuinely shocked.

Something funny going on with my eye got an eye test they referred me immediately to the eye hospital for a potential detached retina - was finally told it was ok and nothing to worry about. Talk about relief. The eye drops they put in my eye I can't tolerate any bright lights currently had to change the lightbulb to a dim one and the tv and monitor is on cinema/dark mode anything else and its like stepping out into bright sunshine after being in the dark for while everythings completely dazzling and too bright. Very strange sensation.

Sounds awful! I hope it gets better quickly.
 
Sat on hold for 2hours with an emergency number for British Gas as we have had no gas since 9am this morning, rang 3 times prior and was told and engineer would be out today then on the 3rd call we were told there was no appointments booked so they apparently booked one for between 5-7 and put us on the priority list as we have a 10day old baby, still no one has turned up. Missus is currently freezing and baby dressed like a Eskimo.
 
I just was in the petrol station...a young Irishman walks in, fills both hands with stuff and walks straight out (not payin).

Attendant says "damn,he was in here earlier asking for directions to somewhere. He's just stolen that stuff. There's nothing you can do about it."

It being night here.

It is a better look than when I was young watching the older folk in my first Christmas party. One dude was putting tinfoil on the bottles and sneaking them out of the door lol

Number 1 rule (especially with kids) is have an emergency fan heater on hand at all times.
I learned that the hard way!

We have them but there not doing much to heat the house up tbh, it doesn’t bother me as I don’t find it that cold at the moment.

Still no gas supply just keep getting passed pillar to post by everyone we have spoke to they don’t seem to understand we can’t top up the smart meter online or at the shop.
