Looks gorgeous but I'm not sure I'd want to own a home in a high fire-risk area in Spain in the next few years.
 
Not sure where else to post, but hugely impressed with Sodastream. I signed up to a 12 month plan for the gas. Returned 4 canisters in July but then never thought anything of it. Just came to order some more and it showed the last lot having not been received back (You return the old empty canisters)

Phoned them up, perfectly friendly conversation where they just took my word for it and have started to issue out replacements.

No claims of me lying or making it hard work. Nice to deal with a company like that.


In other news, I ordered some shoes from "Fitville UK", they sent them from Germany and want them returned there even though the domain is for the UK. I'm trying to get them to issue postage labels, but given they've so far offered me a 75% refund just to keep them, it shows how rubbish the shoes are!
 
Wish people that use mobility scooters pass some kind of test before using them. Guessing, many never drove a car. So have little concept of control. A colleague got hit on the back of the legs whilst putting delivery out as the woman drove too fast for the environment. Due to screaming kids, the awful Christmas music - my colleague didn't hear the scooter approaching.

Been 3!!! fatal car crashes within a few minutes of where I work in the last few days, killing 3 mothers, 2 of them caused by drunk drivers driving dangerous... one supposedly already banned from driving... one of them the girlfriend of a friend of mine leaving behind 3 young kids - I'm not 100% on all the details but that is ~7 children left without a mother in the run up to Christmas (not that it is any better any time of year).

Just sitting here wondering what the **** is wrong with people.

As a litter womble, myself and other Wombles have found countless bottles and cans of alcohol. Sometimes all in a carrier bag.

These were found on dual carriageways, lay-bys and industrial parks.

Majority of the alcohol we find is Eastern European beers and imported vodka as doesn’t have the pink UK thing on the back.

There’s an issue with foreign drivers drinking n driving. Wonder if those drivers you mentioned were foreign. But a few are British.

Watched one of those motorway police shows 2-3 years ago and police did checks on lorry drivers parking in the service station. A Polish driver had c50 cans of strong Polish beer - unopened and opened.
 
Got an appt at the eye clinic, the first one since the pandemic. Hate the eye clinic as see the consultant 2 hours after appt time. Plus the waiting area is airless, soulless and depressing. The dept skew the figures of being seen on time, by going to a sight test usually within 10 mins of appt time. Even my dad who visits the eye dept for skin lesions around his eyes gets this sight test, even though the visit has nothing to do with his vision.
 
I have a small gap in my balcony wall where a lead strip doesnt totally fill the gap.

I silicone sealed it... that stuff dissolves int he rain what the hell.... even after one full dry day it just washed away like it never set

My dad was hit head on by a drunk driver on the wrong side of the road when I was three months old, suffered life changing injuries and suffered mobility issues for the rest of his life as a result, so I have no tolerance at all for drunk drivers, going as far as taking someone’s car keys off them in a pub car park once, and putting them down a grid to prevent them trying to drive home while ****-faced. And that was the coach of the rugby team I used to play for. His face was a picture when tried to ban me from playing, so I went and told the chairman of the club why I’d put his car keys down a grid after the team’s Christmas night out.
