Nap trapped on the sofa by my ill 2 year old daughter. Critically, I placed my tea, which I put in a travel mug anticipating just such an occurrence, just out reach. :(
Ah man I was desperate for an extra half hour or hour yesterday, and my 2y/o has been ill too --- went in at 0645 and tried to play the "daddy sleeping game" and she was having none of it. Managed about 5 minutes by showing her the reflection on the wall from cars driving by :(

We had her waking up pretty much every hour last night. She’d cough, waking herself up, cry for a few minutes, drift back off, rinse and repeat. Her poor mum’s had to go into work today as well, she’s a primary school teacher, and they’ve had 9 members of staff go off sick with this, so they’re absolutely on their knees, and they can’t get agency staff either, there just aren’t any available.

We’re just lucky with the nature of my job that I’m off until February, so I’m here to look after her, otherwise this’d be on one of her nan’s.

I'm sitting here rather chilled (with gloves on lol) and rather quite happy with how things are going. Left the last job because the managers were not supportive, into a new role back to what I was doing and they are very supportive, even offering me a promotion within 2 weeks. Been there nearly 6months and time has flown by, whereas in last job it was doing all I could not to quit with nowhere to go. :)
Sure I had to spend £350 on car for new front brakes and new tyres with tracking (A3 and was only £60 dearer to get garage to do it), and this week I've spent £90 on a battery but that was a blessing because it had started playing up and suddenly went overnight. Turns out I had a much smaller petrol battery powering the TDI for last 2yrs+... got a proper Yuasa one fitted and sweet as. I am now skint but hey ho lol.

Good times.

Backing onto my flat, there’re 3-4 small business units. One of their fire alarms has been set off (can’t see or smell fire). Woken me up. Can’t get back to sleep.

Look at this absolute robbery for a 6 minute taxi ride last night. I decided to run instead.

That's pretty rotten, i discovered after last Thursday that i need to not trust a driver who says "That's not gone through, can you try again". Bank shows 2 payments, one for £18 and another for £40. I was far too ****** to actually check :(

Christmas holidays finally, on the one hand that means no more deicing, on the other increased heating use. At least it’s warming up soon, it’ll be interesting to see what happens when the rain this weekend falls on the packed ice and solid ground.

Why would a visitor to a flat at the bottom of my block decides to park behind the tenant's car? Making it impossible to drive past. Yet two visitor spaces free further down. We hardly have all the bays full anyway.

I take my car up to Yorkshire to get sorted(even though i am an ex Ford technician) went in my exes micra the other week, she had front discs and pads a rear wheel bearing, tracking and fix suspension knock £150
As regards battery's Tanya are awesome, got my Fabia one for half the price of eurocarparts (same battery)

After hunting for the hair clipper charger for the last few days I've given in and decided to buy a new one. Anything more than a stubble on the noggin makes me look 10 years older.
