Our rescue hedghogs don't show any sign of anything wrong, but they're not putting on any weight. In fact, they're lighter now than when we found them. The hedgehog lady things they might have tapeworms, so they're going to her tomorrow for another round of deworming treatment. :/

Sushi Tokyo Ten in Roppongi is in a kind of shopping mall not far from the station I recall, downstairs in the same building has a large Muji, a Japanese ikea.

Check it out, they sell some unique snacks too. Their chocolate puffs are great, as are the chocolates cover yoghurts, the candy floss in a bag is fun (but as expected), or you can get a variety of dried fish and squid as a snack :p
Oh yes my fiancé loves muji I've nought a few of thier pouch meals etc from the shop in Milan, the bacon curry pouch thing was great.

I half expect us to come back with half their cutlery as she keeps eyeing it

Well we've already booked all the hotels but I'll let her know there's a cafe.

She's found a few chopstick making places as a bit of a fun little souvenir thing too.

I am mostly the wallet for this trip and she's planned everything. We have a clickable PDF document with map links she's made so I'm trying to chip in with good food.

Is the muji stuff cheaper there vs Europe if you know? As this is one of the few occasions I can transport liquids or hold luggage in General.

Normaly I'm ryanairs most basic with my rucksack alone

Are there any fatty foods you can give them?

My only experience with a hedgehog is rescuing one from the road on the bike, he/she was curdled up in the middle of the lane scared from cars driving over the top of him, carried him off to a hedgerow but had to leave him quickly as I was blocking the road.
I want them in the garden the slugs have utterly ruined my sprouts this year

It's hard to compare because Muji UK don't sell food, so there is no 1:1 comparison for snacks. To be honest, because I can't get it over here, I buy everything I want without a thought about price as long as it's not stupid money lol. I have spent like £50 in the one in Hong Kong a few times.

She sounds like me on my first trip to Japan. Making a spreadsheet with address, PDF with clickable map, with transport details between Sights A to Sight B. How long roughly to spend in each location, even planning lunch places.

When I got there, I tried my best to follow it and whilst it was useful to know where to go for that day. Half of it went out the window. 2nd trip I just literally have a list of places I want to visit and then wing it depending on weather. But I do pre-book a few nice restaurants always to "anchor" in a few places. Sometimes it's not not having to figure out where to eat that night and know I have a nice meal to look forward to.

In terms of what liquid to bring back, unless it's Japanese Whiskey or Sake. I wouldn't waste the weight limit on Muji drinks. Get your fill while you are there on Pocari Sweat, Calpis and green tea from konbini.

I never knew there was a muji in the uk the milan muji sells food but its a bit small

If there's anything they have in stock let me know she lives in brescia but works in Milan a couple of days a week to teach at fhe uni.

Liquids I was thinking more the pouches of the curry/ready meals they make they are nice.

Yeah trying to pick a few nice restaurants, we've got an airbnb between Christmas and New years but are staying at node in Kyoto for new-year itself just so there's an easy resturant for anything, I fancy the new-year box from one of the department stores so we'll probbaly look for that.

Any good ramen places you know in Tokyo, kyoto, hakone or uniport? (She wants to go to the art/museaum islands from there)

Oh or good street food places? The alleys full of stalls and ramen places look ace but it's hard to know what's good from purely Instagram vids

@Tefal Found a couple of old pics....on today's exchange rates, absolute BARGAIN....I would be stocking up those "Wheat Chocolates" if the price hasn't gone up. 50p is daylight robbery, but I think those were on discount at the time.

Oh yeah, their ready meals in pouches are nice, surprisingly good quality. It's about £2 I think, not much.

The 220 yen chocolates in the 2nd pic are chocolate covered nuts or yoghurts covered fruits. All lovely.

But my favourite is the wheat chocolate. The larger Corn Chocolate is also nice but you don't get many in a pack due to how big they are. Like a Cheeto covered in chocolate.

@Tefal Let me get back to you on Ramen places, I did have one....I say did, because I found out recently they started to charge foreigners more than locals....When you queue up outside, they give you a menu to look at while you wait....if you speak Japanese, they give you a Japanese menu or English if you don't. I found out the English menu they use is about 10% more ! The cheek! Out of principle I won't recommend them anymore....they were my favourite.

I do have a few that I like, I just need to go back my Google Timeline and photos to find the name and location of them.

p.s. thanks for the offer, but I think I am going back in April so will be going to Muji for sure.

We've tried giving them a few things, scrambled eggs last night, but they're just not eating very much. We're taking them back to the hedgehog lady later today, and she'll try giving them another treatment and tell us what she thinks of their condition.
