There is a guy in my office who uses the words 'space' and 'piece' far too much. 'Oh this is moving into the requirements space' 'that's definitely part of the training piece' etc etc! Plus he absolutely loves using every acronym available. Project Management speak at it's finest. Arghhhhhhh.

Edit - I seem to have lost 20 odd posts overnight, how very strange

I don't mind buzzwords in a business as I take it as "part of it" but when they're constantly overused it does drive me insane. My current manager uses nothing but buzzwords. "Moving forward this application can organically grow within the infrastructure to which the company is developing its end goal during these project life cycles"

Several emails like this a day makes me want to bash his head against a wall!

Ah well, last day friday!

I just went to look at mine and accidentally looked at Dis'. I nearly had a heart attack. :p

Just a small difference there lol

That sentence is my trigger! As you said I get that buzzwords get used, it's part of it however he really does go overboard with them. He is an ex-Major so that might explain some of it :p

Next time he starts anything just shout back "SEMPER-FI!" :p

Same manager doesnt have the ability to email all of us without saying

"Dear team, good am"

or "Dear team, good pm"

You work near Winterbourne Gunner?

No I work about 20 minutes away from Bath :)

Haha not sure how well that would go down!

Your manage certainly sounds a little strange :p

I think I know where, lots of building work over the past few years? If it's where I think it is then it looked vastly different when I went there for a meeting about 2 years ago to when I went there in 2009 or so!

Yeh that sounds like the right area. It certainly has changed quite a lot since then. We moved in 2008 just before they started the building work for our building which finished a few years ago. Now they are building quite a lot on the other of the road from us.

I'm just looking at it on Google maps and it took me a while to get my head around what exactly has changed. It wouldn't surprise me if I ended up visiting again or heaven forbid working there. :p

just got out bid on a g watch r, however fitbit are replacing my charge hr despite it being well out of warranty, so might just hold on.

is there rumours when we will see all the new android 2.0 hardare released, rather than old models getting updates.
