I don't feel the UK Police should be tarnished because one guy who joined committed horrible crimes. It's not like you can realistically fire someone over unproven allegations or suspicion. This can happen in any profession, clearly there needs to be some improved processes and they need to figure out how they can handle these things better, but I'm sure everyone who works with him is absolutely horrified.
It's not just one guy though is it?
Sorry that isn't good enough. By the Mets own admission they're investigating over 1000 sexual and domestic abuse cases affecting over 800 officers. That isn't normal. The Met employs 34,000 people though, of course some of them will be bad, that's just what happens when you take any large group of people.

The Met themselves are apologising for not investigating accusations sooner against this latest animal, perhaps take it up with them.So they're investigating presumably historic cases and accusations, what more do you want them to do? I understand you're angry that crimes have been committed, but that isn't the fault of anyone except the people who committed those crimes. I wouldn't want to be tarnished because someone at my company raped someone.

It's literally the police's entire job to investigate crimes and they couldn't sniff out the people literally in their office? Pfft.So they're investigating presumably historic cases and accusations, what more do you want them to do? I'm sure there are thousands of decent officers, but when these stories come out, there always seems a number of them turning a blind eye to behaviour unbecoming of a Police officer.Good, I hope this guy is jailed for life and they learn lessons from this. I disagree with tarnishing the Police in general that's all.
Try re-reading the comments about this guy, but instead replace him with a British Pakistani Muslim rapist.
The hypocrisy is hilarious, from both sides.

It will be a great help when middle-ranking and senior officers are held responsible for the acts of their juniors. They are paid to be responsible, so hold them to it.
The yorkshire ripper and much of saville has at least the "save" of the fact the information about them was largely before the age of computers being used, which meant it was orders of magnitude harder to do a national check, let alone a thorough check of any allegations and linking them up as many records were only kept locally to the complaint so there was no pattern to see for people at the time. I think some people forget exactly how time consuming it was to do checks before computerised records* (the police used to employ multiple officers at larger stations purely to help maintain paper records and help other officers find information in them).Horrible that this is, like Cousins, there is much more political capital gained on appearing in the press/social-media and expressing levels of indignation,
Do I think Sadiq is sincere - no ?
Saville was obviously another case where there were many missed signals, or the Yorkshire Ripper, both worse, so have to be careful not to get things out of proportion, and create undue alarm.
over xmas press were again reporting high level of needle spiking incidents, which still lack confirmed proof/prosecutions
