This is why people are losing respect for the police...

QUite often those that are reporting personal attacks have started 'it', but get all hurt and offended when it's given back, if you dont like personal attacks rather than respond in kind just report if it bothers you. Same as the word filter, gammon isn't filtered (despite its connotations) but ********* is (word associated with cold weather), I just find the double standards amusing.

I avoid reporting posts, it’s always felt hollow and unsatisfying when I’ve done it previously and I’ve long since given up with this place.

Some little scrotes sprayed graffiti on the side of my house last year and when I reported it to the police, they were only interested in if it contained any hate crime messages.

Just recently I had to call the police due to some crazy man trying to knock my front door down. Took around 90 minutes for them to arrive by which point the guy had left. I could tell the policeman was just paying lip service when I explained what happened.

I think the role of the police responding to events is useless and they need a return to bobbies on the beat as a deterrent. I don't see why there shouldn't be a couple of policeman walking around several blocks of city at all times of day. That would cover a few thousands residents which is quite a lot of tax money.

Because they dont have enough police people. Where have you been since 2010?

Police numbers, including the number of armed police officers, have fallen sharply under Theresa May’s watch first as home secretary between 2010 and 2016 and then as prime minister.

The simple numbers tell the story. In 2010 May as home secretary made the mistake that Margaret Thatcher never made in the 1980s and agreed to a Treasury demand to cut police budgets by 18%.

Over the next five years the number of police officers in England and Wales fell from a peak of 144,353 in 2009 to 122,859 in 2016. At the same time the number of specialist armed police officers has fallen from a peak of 6,796 in 2010 to 5,639 in 2016.

I’ve already said in this thread. The police have been cut to shreds, you have to rely on yourself. What did you want the police to do about the graffiti? Did you have anything available for them to investigate? If so, why did you want them to come out? To have a look at it?!

90 minute response time for a crazy person trying to kick your door in is really bad, but that’s where as I’ve said, you need to stop relying on other people and protect yourself, Britain no longer has a police force it’s public can rely on to keep it safe as you or I would expect. The officers would have had to decide to go to your incident where you are safe behind a locked door and an incident where a vulnerable person was being physically beaten in the same room as their attacker.

There are no officers to go to 999 calls, there are more 999 calls than officers.

no one canceled the pub though. You seem to be confused with free market economics and the fact that brands don't want their image tarnished with links to racism. The pub is free to find other suppliers who don't care about their brand image.

Then i don't want to hear another word about how boycotting BudLight is cancel culture either, (there's a lot out there, not particularly here)

Profits at Bud Light owner Anheuser-Busch have risen more than expected - despite backlash over the brand's Dylan Mulvaney partnership.

The Belgium-based company, which also makes Budweiser, Stella Artois and Corona, saw its core profit soar 13.6 percent year on year to $4.76 billion in the first quarter.

This was compared to an average 5.6 percent increase expected.

Sales at Anheuser-Busch InBev, which makes around a quarter of all beer drunk globally, also rose by 0.4 percent - buoyed by a sharp rise in China due to a rollback in its strict Covid-19 restrictions.

It comes despite Bud Light sales having plunged over a quarter, year on year, after the brand's controversial campaign with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

Racist pub closes due to backlash from suppliers.

Company sales and profit improve despite backlash from racists.

Hmm what to do.

Does this mean we can expect to see a lot more drunken 5 o'clock shadowed, Adam apple'd "women" on the streets? Has the campaign found a lucrative niche market?

Why do you still post here then?

I’ve had at least 6 people sign up by reaching out to me via here, despite the fact I’ve never advertised anything as that is against the rules.

I also like that this is one of the few places I can converse with people of a lower intelligence or education, gives me a feel for how people outside my usual social circles think.

The mods are pretty good at keeping the place tidy, despite criticisms and some of them not being fans of mine.

It’s fun to see people wind themselves up who know me when they themselves are so irrelevant and forgettable.

Plus the Motors section are very good.

Aww bless, look at you just positively frothing at the thought of virtue signaling so much you get the wrong adjective. Either that or you thought the bloke that they made their new spokesperson isnt white- tbh I've no idea with you as you often get the basics wrong. Before you crack open a bud light to celebrate though you might want to know that the 1st quarter sales figures are prior to their decision to hire Mulvaney, probably best to wait until July when they release the figures for the current quarter :)

No you are mistaken I dont give a ****. Its people like Robg that are getting there girly underwear in a twist about it.

But I am very happy that a pub for racists has had to shut down due to their own racist fail.
