Depp lost UK trial because the judge didn't fall for the common tactic of blaming the victim for being the abuser. But the jury in the US trial did fall for it.

In both the UK and the US trial, Mr Depp's lawyers argued that Ms Heard was lying - to make their case, they attacked her character and claimed that she was in fact the abusive partner.
This is a common defence tactic in sexual assault and domestic violence trials called "deny, attack, and reverse victim and offender" or "Darvo", said Mr Stephens.
The strategy turns the tables on the alleged victim, shifting the conversation away from "did the accused commit abuse" to "is the alleged victim believable".
"They deny that they did anything, they deny they're the real perpetrator, and they attack the credibility of the individual calling out the abuse, and then reverse the roles of the victim and the offender," Mr Stephens said.
In the UK trial, Mr Stephens said the judge recognised that strategy, and dismissed a lot of the evidence that did not directly address whether Mr Depp committed assault or not.
"Lawyers and judges tend not to fall for it, but it's very, very effective against juries," he said. Men are more likely to believe Darvo arguments, but female jurors are also susceptible.

Who are the "experts" they refer to? The actual experts throughout the trial sharing live commentary all share the same thoughts, that she was the abuser all along based on the evidence we have all seen and testimonies we have all heard, which is far more than what the jury were exposed to through the trial.
 
Let's ignore that they had no evidence in the UK either but the judge just believed the claims. Also its much harder to win against press/news etc
 
If AH thinks the jury was currupted/tainted and demonised her knowing absolutely nothing going into it about either of them, then if she really wants to appeal, good luck finding anyone that wouldn't of seen at least something negative about her now. I hope JD's legal team are prepairing a tactical nuke for this insanity, so much for AH wanting JD to leave her alone, she's obsessed with him still!

Not sure she is obsessed with him, more she knows her career is done and she doesn't have the money to pay him. She has no choice but to appeal if she wants to try and clear her name, though its far too late for that. She is finished as a A/B list actor.
